Gaetbae (bateau sans moteur) désigne un moyen de transport ancien afin de traverser le village Abai à l'embouchure du lac Cheongchoho.

Il s'agit d'un moyen de transport rapide entre Sokcho et le village Abai d'une longueur de 50 mètres sur les eaux. Ce bateau construit comme une barge sans moteur peut se conduire manuellement avec l'intervention de tous les passagers. Il faut compter environ 5min pour traverser la rivière. Le bateau constitue désormais une attraction touristique unique dans la région de Sokcho.

Le marché aux poissons de Sokcho a été rénové et modernisé en 1982 pour en faire un marché central proposant de multiples activités. Il est composé de trois étages, un étrage en sous-sol et deux au niveau supérieur. On compte 449 magasins dans la totalité du marché. Le sous-sol propose des échoppes de vente de poissons et des restaurants alors que les deuxième et troisième étage propose de la restauration plus générale ou même des échoppes de vêtements.

Yeonggeumjeong désigne l'espace autour du phare de Sokcho. Le terme Yeonggeumjeong provient de son des vagues heurtant les roches, un son proche du son de l'instrument geomungo. Le lieu est notamment réputé pour les vues des alentours depuis le pavillon situé au bout d'un pont de 50 mètres de long.

Le Centre Culturel de Sokcho se trouve dans la ville du même du nom dans le quartier de Yeongnang-dong. Le centre a ouvert en 1977 sous le nom de Centre culturel de Ilbok avec une capacité de 342 sièges. Le centre fut achevé le 10 octobre 1990.
Le Centre Culturel de Sokcho se compose principalement d’un Hall et d’une annexe. Le Hall comprend une salle de concert, salle de répétition, avec un système son et lumière. Dans l’annexe se trouve une salle de réunion, une gallerie, une salle de réception pour les événements culturels et les bureaux administratifs du Centre.

Cheoksan Spatel / (주)척산온천휴양촌

Opened in 1985, Cheoksan Spatel is a natural hot springs with strong alkaline water at 53℃, formed 4000 m below sea level. The water is said to be highly effective in the removal of impurities and treatment of skin conditions. Rooms available include both bedrooms and ondol (under-the-floor heating system) rooms. Each room has a small bath supplied with hot springs water in the bathroom. Guests are also offered a single-use ticket to the hot springs area.
There are plenty of onsite facilities as well, from the hot springs area with many different types of baths to ladies-only spa therapy at Spa Healing Center, walking paths through a pine grove, and an observation deck with a view of Seoraksan Mountain’s Ulsan Peak. Other attractions, such as Sokcho Museum, Seoraksan Botanical Garden, and Cheongchoho Recreation Area, is reachable by car in 10 min.
