White Village, located on the banks of Daehwanggang River, boasts of wonderful views in a natural environment. The scenery around the river changes picturesquely every season against the background of the mountains and the sky: light green trees and cherry blossoms in spring; cool water play in summer; dazzling tinted leaves in autumn; and snowy scenes in winter. The environment is so clean that one might encounter wild ducks, elks, or even an otter while walking around the accommodation. If you enjoy fishing, it is a great idea to take your tools in the Daehwanggang River. The Daehwanggang Trail is also close to White Village. Including paths around mountains as well as ones around the river, the trail takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes to complete and is mountain bicycle-friendly (MTB), about 1 km-long stretching from the Amnok Recreation Area to the Seomjin River. Major attractions in Gokseong such as Seomjingang Train Village, Taeansa Temple, and Jo Tae Il Poetry Memorial Hall are about 15-20 minutes away by car. The Zipline, which opened recently opposite the Gajeong Station, is only about 3 4 minutes away.

Amnok Resort (압록유원지)

Temple Taeansa (태안사)

Situé au pied de la montagne Dongrisan, le temple Taeansa a été construit par trois moines durant le règne du Roi Silla, Gyeongdeok (742). Ensuite, le moine Hyecheol a construit un large temple avec 132 pièces durant le règne de Koryeo Taejo, qui été établi comme un séminaire central dans la zone du Mt. Dongrisan. Dans ces environs, il y a quatre trésors qui méritent d’être vus : la pagode Hyecheolguksa Sari (trésors national n°273), la pagode Gwangjaseonsa (trésors national n°274) et le Neungpagak (atout régional tangible n°82). Cependant, ils ont été endomagés durant la guerre de Corée et ont été rénovés depuis. Une vallée revigorante et un coin ombragé peuvent être trouvés à seulement 1,8km de l’entrée du temple. C’est un sentier populaire en automne avec ses feuilles d’érable brillantes.

Gurye est le premier célèbre parc national du mont Jirisan et accueille des eaux claires et des d'immenses étendues près de la rivière Seomjingang. Les herbes sauvages, légumes, sansuyu (fruit de cornouiller) et prunes des monts Jirisan et Baegunsan sont les principaux produits de la région.

Les maisons avec des fruits de cornouiller se trouvent facilement dans le district de Sandong-myeon à Gurye-gun, et tout le village se pare de ses teintes ocres au printemps et carmin à l'automne. La production de sansuyu de la région compte pour 50% de la production totale de la nation.

Par ailleurs, les chataîgnes sont chose commune au marché de Gurye, un champs de chataîgners prenant 1 400 ha. du même terrain.

Le district de Gokseong-gun, connu pour son village du train, accueille chaque année un festival autour des roses au sein du fameux village. Le train à vapeur a été construit comme réplique exacte de celui qui servait à l’époque dans la région. Il parcourt une distance d'environ 10 km entre l'ancienne gare de Gokseong et la gare Gajeong. Chaewondang is a traditional Korean house located just in front of Seomjingang River Train Village, the best tourist spot in Gokseong. It is only 200 meters from the main gate of Chaewondang to the ticket office of the train village. Chaewondang boasts a well-shaped and spacious interior space, like a newly built Hanok. When you enter the room, you can feel the cleanliness of the uniqueness of the new house. The wooden pillars and beams, the eaves, and the roof of the tile create the charm of Hanok.
