Bunjuryeong Wildflower Trekking is a trekking course that extends from Geumdaebong Peak in Taebaek's Daedeoksan Mountain to the source of the Hangang River, Geomnyongso Spring. The trekking section (6.9 km) from Dumundongjae Pass to Bunjuryeong Pass is renowned as a paradise for wildflowers and wildlife, including natural monuments like the flying squirrel and ichneumon wasp. Visitors can access this trekking course by making a reservation in advance.

Miinpokpo Falls, located near Taebaek-si, has various size waterfalls from small to large. There's a sad legend on why the waterfall got its name. There is a tomb of a beautiful woman near the waterfall, who jumped to her death after losing two husbands through early death. There's also a valley that's called the Grand Canyon of Korea nearby. It takes approximately 15 minutes to get to the fall from Yeoraesa Temple parking lot on foot through 300 meters of trekking.

Hwangji Pond, located in downtown Taebaek, is a source of the Nakdonggang River, flowing all the way to the Yeongnam Plain. The pond is divided into three sections: Sangji, with a diameter of 100 meters, Jungji and Haji. Although it is small in size, the pond supplies 5,000 tons of water a day.

Kimseobangnae Dakgalbi is a Taebaek-style dakgalbi (spicy stir-fried chicken) restaurant located at the entrance of Hwangji Pond. This version of dakgalbi is distinct from the Chuncheon style as it includes vegetables like kkaennip (perilla leaves), cabbage, and ssukgat (crown daisy) cooked in broth. The fragrant aroma of ssukgat and the spicy soup beautifully complement the chicken. The homemade sauce enhances the broth's flavor, and finishing the meal with bokkeumbap (fried rice) prepared using the remaining soup is considered a highlight.

Cheoneunsa Temple is located on Dutasan Mountain in Miro-myeon, Samcheok-si, Gangwon-do. At the tail end of the Goryeo dynasty, Lee Seung-hyu, a renowned scholar, wrote ‘Jewangungi’, an epic for the Korean people at Cheoneunsa temple. After the temple burnt down during the Korean War, the temple was renovated. The temple houses Beophwagyeong (Lotus Sutra Statue) among other cultural significant artifacts. Also, the surrounding area was the capital during Goryeo dynasty, where a number of relics such as pieces of celadon and blue roof tiles were unearthed.

Taebaek Eutteum Hanu is a specialized Hanu (Korean beef) restaurant that uses beef directly sourced from its own farm. The tender texture of the anchangsal (grilled thin skirt) is its signature dish. Their So hanmari set menu (assorted beef cuts set menu) features four different cuts of meat, offering a variety of flavors. The clean and neatly presented side dishes, along with the flavorful doenjang jjigae (soybean paste jjigae), complement the beef perfectly. The Ttukbaegi bulgogi (bulgogi hot pot) is another popular item on the menu.
