Gujora Beach is not only known for its natural beauty and crystal clear water, but also as a beach that can be reached conveniently. It was initially used by U.S. soldiers when a prisoner-of-war camp was established in Geoje in the aftermath of the Korean War. After the beach was opened to the public in the 1970s, it became better known for its natural beauty than its military history. The beach is relatively shallow with warm water and stretches 1.1 kilometers long and has a x_width of 30 meters. It has many nearby attractions such as Mangsan Mountain, Sujeongbong Peak, Anseom Island, and Yundolseom Island, creating a beautiful view.
Situated farther inland, partially encircled by the coastline, the water at Gujora Beach is calm and serene. A number of restaurants can be found nearby, mainly selling fresh hoe (sliced raw fish) as well as famous local produce such as anchovies and seaweed. Visitors can enjoy the nearby attractions such as Gujora Fortress as well as Haegeumgang, Naedo, and Oedo Islands by taking a cruise tour.

Okpo Great Victory Commemorative Park was built in 1996 to commemorate Admiral Yi Sun-sin's first victory of the Okpo Battle during the Imjin War (1592-1598). Visitors can go up the memorial tower and Okporu Pavilion to get an unobstructed view of the Okpo Bay ahead. In addition to the tower and pavilion, the park also has a shrine dedicated to Admiral Yi.

The Sound of the Breeze Path, connecting Gujora Cruise Ship Dock to Gujora Fortress, offers beautiful views of the coast, bamboo forests, and villages. Built to block invasions during the Joseon dynasty and to block the east wind, the Gujora Fortress has become a great travel destination for tranquil walks away from the complexities of daily life. Deokpo Beach is a white sandy beach in the city of Geoje in Gyeongsangnam-do. The 450 meter-long and 40 meter-wide beach offers fine sand, clear waters, a gentle slope and old sea pine trees along the coast. Nearby attractions include the Okpo Great Victory Commemorative Park, which was built in 1996 to commemorate the victory of Admiral Yi Sun-sin, and the Okpo Shipyard of Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering with a giant shipyard crane.

Baekmanseok is a renowned restaurant on Geojedo Island specializing in a local delicacy called meongge bibimbap (sea pineapple bibimbap), which is a dish made of sea pineapple mixed with laver, sesame seeds, and sesame oil, renowned for its exquisite taste. The menu also includes options like ganjang gejang jeongsik (soy sauce marinated crab set menu), seongge bibimbap (sea urchin bibimbap), and saeng ureong maeuntang (spicy rockfish stew). Oedo-Botania (외도 보타니아)

“Botania” is a portmanteau of "botani-" (plants) and "utopia" (paradise), and Oedo-Botania represents a paradise for plants on the sea. It is surrounded by the blue and clear seas of Geoje, and you can see the Haegeumgang Islets, Hongdo Island, and Tsushima Island in the distance. The total area is 148,760㎡ (45,000 pyeong), divided into Seodo Island and Dongdo Island. The former was developed into Oedo-Botania, while the latter (22,017㎡) is preserved in its natural state, home to 64 native plant species and over 1,000 rare subtropical plants from around the world.
Oedo-Botania was designed with Buckingham Palace Garden as its motif, and the Venus Garden—the signature attraction of Oedo-Botania—features twelve Venus statues harmoniously integrated with the plants.
The second Hill of Love observatory is home to a 300-year-old guardian tree where residents once held ceremonies for the village’s well-being and bountiful fishing. From here, you can enjoy panoramic views of the Venus Garden, Lee House, and the Flower Garden.
The “Stairway to Heaven” was originally created by planting 3,000 tangerine trees on land where residents once cultivated fields, along with 8,000 cypress trees planted as windbreaks against the fierce sea winds. However, due to damage from Typhoon Maemi, it is now composed of various ornamental trees, including pagoda trees, arranged in a tapestry-like pattern.
The lighthouse, designed to resemble the shape of Oedo Island, is the only one of its kind to allow visitors to explore its maze-like interior, adding to the fun of exploration.

Oedo-Botania appears as the island that Jun-sang, who had lost his sight after a traffic accident, created for his first love, Yoo-jin, in the final episode of the K-Drama "Winter Sonata(2002)." The “Lee House” in particular—the place where the two leads meet in the show—appears as a Mediterranean-style house when viewed from the Venus Garden, but is actually built in the traditional Korean style, divided into anchae and sarangchae.

Geoje P.O.W. Camp Historic Park is a park and exhibition hall built on the site of South Korea's largest prisoner-of-war camp, which accommodated up to 173,000 North Korean and Chinese prisoners captured by the South Korean and UN forces during the Korean War (1950-1953). Visitors to the exhibition hall can learn about the Korean War and the lives of prisoners through educational displays and experiences, as well as view war artifacts such as weapons.
