Geumsusan Mountain, originally called Baegamsan Mountain, was renamed by noted Joseon-period scholar Yi Hwang (pen name Toegye) when he was the chief governor of Danyang County, saying its graceful features matched the fineness of silk embroidery. The mountain is beautiful throughout the year with bright foliage in fall and an ice cave that stays frozen until early April. The view from the summit of the mountain resembles a pregnant woman lying on her side, and there is a legend that women who pray for a son here will have their wish come true.

Seonam Garden serves folk dishes at the foot of Doraksan Mountain, one of the 100 most famous mountains in Korea. Its signature menus are tojongdak baeksuk (whole chicken soup) and maeuntang (spicy fish stew). Visitors can also enjoy sanchae jeongsik (wild vegetable dish set menu), deodeok gui (grilled deodeok), healthy dotorimuk (acorn jelly salad), and handmade dongdongju (rice wine, similar to makgeolli), along with buchimgae (pancakes) and sondubu (handmade bean curd). Dariangyegok Valley is located in the Darian Local Tourist Site near Danyang. The water in the valley curves around smooth rocks in between the lush forest. People visit in the summer to escape the heat.

Dariangyegok Valley has cold water flowing from Sobaeksan Mountain. The area around the valley is equipped with convenience facilities such as huts, campsites, a parking lot, convenience store and more, making it the best family destination. Near the middle of the valley, legend says a dragon ascended to the sky leaving a mark on the big rock. National Center for Forest Therapy, Jecheon (국립제천치유의숲)

The National Center for Forest Therapy, Jecheon is under the Korea Forest Welfare Institute of the Korea Forest Service. It was established with the aim of promoting public health and improving quality of life by providing forest well-being services. The center spans an area of 61.3 hectares (the healing center covering 494.82 square meters). The staff consists of a total of eight employees (one center head, four specializing in forest therapy, and three in operational support).
In April 2015, the Korea Forest Service and the National Police Agency signed an MOU to create this national center. It took approximately three years to develop the center, from September 2016 to May 2019.
In October 2019, the organizational structure was established, and a pilot forest therapy program was initiated. The center's opening ceremony took place in November 2020. Currently, the center offers customized individual and group forest well-being services.

Sobaeksan Mountain is renowned for its natural splendor and mystery, standing tall in the middle of the Korean peninsula, and offering several magnificent peaks, such as Hyeongjebong, Sinseonbong, Gungmangbong, Birobong, and Yeonhwabong. Its captivating seasonal beauty attracts visitors year round. The moutain's recreational forest was designated as the third national park in Chungcheongbuk-do in 1987, following Songnisan Mountain and Woraksan Mountain in 1970 and 1984 respectively. The open grass field on Birobong Peak (1,439 meters) resembles the Swiss Alps. On Yeonhwabong Peak (1,349 meters) is Sobaeksan Optical Astromony Observatory (SOAO), which laid the foundation for Korea's astronomy.

Neunggang Sotdae Art Museum (능강솟대문화공간)

Neunggang Sotdae Art Museum in Jecheon is a museum of sotdae, ancient prayer poles with a duck or bird-shaped figurine on top that were usually placed at the village entrance. Many of these artifacts can be found inside and outside of the museum, which is located near the vast Chungjuho Lake. Other nearby tourist attractions include Neunggang Valley, situated at the foot of Geumsusan Mountain and surrounded by lush pine forests, rocky cliffs, streams and waterfalls. There is also Jeongbangsa Temple, which is said to have been built by the renowned Buddhist Monk Uisang, during the Silla era.
