Embracing Uiamho Lake, KT&G Sangsangmadang Chuncheon is a cultural complex that consists of the Art Center and the Stay building. The Art Center was established by remodeling the previous Chuncheon Children’s Center, while the Stay building was built by remodeling the previous Gangwon-do Sports Center. With an open view of the lake at the front, the Art Center is known for its construction design by Korea’s master architect, late Kim Swoo-geun. When viewed from the sky, the Art Center, which was built with Kim’s unique construction technique, resembles a butterfly sitting on the lakeside. Opened as the Children’s Center in 1980, the building was abandoned for a while and then was re-born as KT&G Sangsangmadang Chuncheon in 2014. Sangsangmadang, as part of the social contribution and restoration program of KT&G, aims to support various cultural and arts activities and offer the public an opportunity to appreciate arts and culture. While keeping its original frame of the construction in consideration of its architectural value, KT&G Sangsangmadang Chuncheon provides diverse amenities such as a theater, gallery, cafe, art shop, and so on. It has also a charming outdoor space. It has an outdoor stage near Uiamho Lake, and the walking path and the bicycle path are available in front of the stage. In addition, the Forest Experience Center for Children behind the outdoor stage provides diverse interesting attractions.

Soyanggang Skywalk (소양강스카이워크)

The Soyanggang Skywalk, extending over the river, spans 174 meters in length, with a transparent glass floor covering 156 meters of its section. At the end of the skywalk, visitors will find a circular plaza and an observatory, renowned for their panoramic views, especially of the sunsets. Additionally, the Ssogarisang sculpture, depicting a leopard mandarin fish, stands on the opposite side of the plaza, drawing in visitors. Water from a fountain flows from this sculpture at fixed intervals, adding to the allure.

KT&G Sangsangmadang Chuncheon Stay, near Uiam Lake in Gangwon-do, is a cultral space with "art" and "stay". It has an unusual exterior and offers tastful designed rooms - all of which are bright and comfy with AC, heating and ondol temperature control. There is a restaurant on the first floor, and in the basement guests will find a self-catering area, a music practice room, and a performance room. Originally named Gongji Park, the park is located near Gongjicheon Stream and has been decorated with sculptures since 1997. Twenty-nine pieces are displayed and a water clock was installed in 2001. Gongjicheon Resort is located nearby the park with an outdoor stage and fountain. Water sports such as boat-riding can be enjoyed on the lake. The lake and the fountain are great locations to spend time with family and friends. Every year diverse cultural art events such as the Spring Art Performance as well as the Soyangjae Chuncheon Poetry Recital take place in the park and Gongjicheon area. A Children’s Center and War Memorial are also located nearby.

King Canoe Quay (킹카누 나루터)

King Canoe Quay is the only place in Korea to experience Canadian canoes. They also created the first 12-seater Canadian canoe. It's an eco-friendly sport that produces neither noise nor the smell of oil. Canoes on tranquil lakes provide an opportunity to see another world from the earth because one is closer to the horizon. Take a wooden canoe along the Bukhangang River with the sound of water and enjoy the charm of the lake city Chuncheon. There are four major courses provided by King Canoe Quay: Uiam Dam, Bungeoseom Island, Hajungdo Island, and Uiamho Lake. The guide will also tell riders interesting stories related to Uiamho Lake on the canoe.

The source of Yongchu Falls, Mount Yeoninsan (연인산) stands at 1,068 meters above sea level and features soft terrain and beautiful scenery. Local folklore has it that those coming to the mountain wishing for true love will have their dreams come true.

The soil of Mount Yeoninsan is fertile, offering a great natural environment for a variety of flowers and trees. Numerous types of wild flowers thrive from early spring to late autumn. The trail connecting Mount Yeoninsan with mounts Myeongjisan, Cheonggyesan, and Gwimokbong remains relatively unspoiled by human influence: cooking and camping in the area is strictly forbidden. All the mountains in the trail are over 1,000 meters high. A defining feature of Mount Yeoninsan is the royal azaleas that bloom in late May. The County of Gapyeong celebrates the royal azalea by hosting the Mount Yeoninsan (Natural Ecology) Festival in May of each year.

Also ideal for hiking, Mount Yeoninsan offers a number of trails: one starts from Buk-myeon in Baekdun-ri, one from Mail-ri, and one from Yongchu Valley. With a minimum of climbing, hikers can take in a variety of scenic views, ranging from the bloom of the royal azaleas in the spring to the beauty of the changing leaves in the fall.
