Icheon has emerged as a new spring destination thanks to the large colony of sansuyu trees in Baeksa-myeon. The path from downtown Icheon to Yeongwonsa Temple, located on Wonjeonksan Mountain, is lined on both sides with these beautiful yellow trees.

The village is a quiet place, with a narrow road just wide enough for two cars, and a peaceful stream running off to the side. However, every spring, the village is awakened by the many photographers and tourists who visit. The second most-visited season is autumn, when the sansuyu trees fill out with bright red berries.

Mirinae Camp is a comprehensive camping facility covering 370,000㎡, capable of accommodating up to 600 guests. It features a range of facilities for training, leisure, and convenience. The camp includes a horseriding club, a lawn ballpark, a lawn sports ground, a foot volleyball court, a survival game area, a kayaking center, a rock climbing facility, challenge courses, and a walking trail. Additionally, it offers Heal Being Club programs, which encompass foot spa, essential oil therapy, dining, and café experiences. In summer, an outdoor swimming pool is available, and in winter, the camp operates a snow sledding park.

Yongmunsan Recreational Forest offers log cabins, camping sites, a multipurpose playground, walking paths, and hiking trails. The forest offers a great view of downtown Yangpyeong and blends well with the surrounding landscape. The hiking trail leading to Baegunbong Peak (940 meters) is recognized as one of the best trails in the area.

There are several hiking trails, all of which are relatively easy to walk on, and continuous work is underway to improve the trails. The forest is a popular destination in Yangpyeong and a treasure house of nature's beauty where visitors can observe diverse plants all year round.

Baegunbong (alt. 940m) is a sharp pointed peak that sits on the border between Yangpyeong-eup and Okcheon-myeon in Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do Province. It is the highest of the peaks along the southern ridge of Yongmunsan Mountain (alt. 1,157m). The two most popular hiking trails along Baegunbong start at Yeonsu-ri in Yongmun-myeon and offer a relatively short hike to the summit.

The Yangpyeong Wild Flower Arboretum has several major facilities. The Nature Ecology Museum showcases a natural ecology model structure with educational videos. The Nature Learning Center has about 200 different types of endangered wild flower species, while the Herb Garden has 50 different types of herbs. Other attractions include the swampy ground, Tteodeureongseom Island, riverside driveway, tropical arboretum, research center. The Arborteum offers a number of hands-on experience programs as well.

The Royal Tombs of the Joseon Dynasty are the only royal tombs in the world that remain largely intact from a single dynasty spanning more than 500 years, making them a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Yeongneung is the combined tomb of the 4th ruler of Joseon dynasty, King Sejong (1397-1450) who created the Korean alphabet and his wife Queen Soheon. Nyeongneung is the royal tomb of the 17th ruler of the Joseon dynasty, King Hyojong (1619-1659, reigned 1649-1659), and of his wife Queen Inseon (1618-1674). The Wangneung Forest here boasts spectacular fall foliage.

The Freshwater Fish Ecology Center is a venue dedicated to the observation of the ecological life of diverse freshwater fish. The center offers many educational facilities, including a Freshwater Fish Aquarium, a Freshwater Fish Experience Playground, a Video Learning Center, an Ecology Pond, and more. It exhibits 1,200 freshwater fish of sixty different species. Visitors have the opportunity to encounter native Korean freshwater fish, such as Sturgeon, Korean Torrent Catfish, Bitterling, Korean Rose Bitterling, and more.

Hanok Maeul Hwangto Pension is located on the side of the Namhangang River of Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi Province. It is a beautiful two-story hanok, located in idyllic countryside, with a wide grass lawn perfect for families with children or group visitors. The grass lawn is furnished with traditional sights like a vine-colored pavilion, well, old-fashioned treadmill, neolttwigi jumping boards, and traditional mortar, creating a rustic atmosphere that doubles as a site of learning for children. A wooden footbridge connects the second floor of the building, with a great view of the fields nearby. There are five rooms in total, the Korean-style Family Room, Sarang, and bedrooms of Gwibin, Sinhon, and the Sudabang annex. Each room is furnished in the traditional red clay wall and Korean traditional paper interior as a continuation of the theme of hanok. The Family Room is equipped with a wide living room with a fabric sofa and wooden furniture, dining table, and a kitchen with cooking utensils, making it ideal for group visitors. Sudabang room in the annex is a great place for lovers and families, and its crowning feature is the clay fireplace in the living room. Roasted potatoes and sweet potatoes from the fireplace are delectable parts of the room’s appeal. Firewood must be bought from the pension. The pension is also equipped with red clay sauna, fired with Korean charcoal. It is offered free of charge for the guests. Outdoor barbeque and campfire sites may be reserved with extra cost.

Sanasagyegok Valley, located in Yongmunsan Mountain, is characterized by its ample x_width, crystal-clear water, and abundant water volume. The thick forests and slopes of Yongmunsan Mountain offer stunning views, attracting many visitors during the summer vacation period. Approximately 100m up from the valley's entrance is Hamwanghyeol Cave, associated with the legend of Hamwang, a fierce warlord from the Goryeo dynasty. Further up, the Buddhist Sanasa Temple can be found.

According to historic records, ceramics have been developed here since the early days of the Joseon dynasty, as the nation’s best materials for making ceramics, such as clay, white clay, and Kaolin, were produced around Ssarisan Mountain in Bungnae-myeon. Mid-standing artists here study the process of making traditional ceramics as well as more novel works that utilize unconventional methods. Yeoju Ceramic Art Complex not only provides high quality ceramics, it offers visitors a chance to see the process of making art pieces. There are over 60 personal exhibition halls with various styles of ceremics. Every May, there is a festival for visitors to enjoy.
