Yulgok Arboretum was established for the preservation, proliferation, and exhibition of plant genetic resources, and provides a variety of resort services related to forest culture for citizens. It features a four seasons garden, conifers garden, rock garden, fruit tree garden, Saimdang Forest, and many other beautiful venues, and also offers diverse forest experiences. It also provides a forest experience program for infants and toddlers as well as a forest healing program in which people of all ages and genders may participate. The Dulle Trail surrounding the arboretum runs some 5 kilometers in length and exudes diverse views from its observatory, pine scent path, and Munbawi Rock. From the arboretum, you will be able to see the Imjingang River to the north and great mountains such as Papyeongsan and Gamaksan to the east. It is possible to tour the historical sites of Yulgok Yi I and Hwang Hui as well since they are close by.

Cheongansa Temple was first built in 1960, and was re-built in 2009. It has many pagodas and monuments: a pagoda filled with sari relics of Buddha; Budotap Pagoda, which is a shrine to the monk who found the temple and his sacred relics; and a monument honoring the late first lady Yuk yeong-su. The re-built temple was awarded the Hanok Prize in the Hanok Competition 2011. Located along the Bukhansan Mt. Dulaegil Trail, the temple provide visitors with the chance to enjoy fresh air and a rest from hiking along the trail.

Samgaksan Mountain (삼각산)

Samgaksan Mountain is a mountain situated on the northern outskirts of Seoul, resembling a folding screen. Its name, meaning triangular mountain, is derived from the presence of three high peaks: Baegundae Peak, Insubong Peak, and Mangyeongdae Overlook. The highest peak, Baegundae Peak, offers a panoramic view of Seoul from its summit, featuring a spacious rock surface where many visitors can sit. Positioned behind Gyeongbokgung Palace, the palace of the Joseon dynasty, Samgaksan Mountain is visible from the rear of the Cheong Wa Dae.

Located approximately 56 kilometers from Seoul City Hall and 7 kilometers from DMZ, the site of Imjingak Pavilion is an important part of Korean history. Imjingak Resort, the main tourist complex, has various war-related artifacts as well as the spacious Pyeonghwa Nuri Park. Uidonggyegok Valley is located between Bukhansan Mountain and Dobongsan Mountain, and is a popular retreat for locals. Near the entrance to the valley are accommodations, a playground, wedding hall, and other amenities. Clean water runs through the valley, and is lined with restaurants. The hiking path starting to the left of the valley entrance passes Doseonsa Temple on the way to Insubong Peak. The hiking path through the valley is quite difficult, but leads to Uiam Hermitage, and further to Dobongsan Mountain along the ridge. Additional temples in the area include Seongbulsa, Yongdeoksa, Seonunsa, and Gwangmyeongsa Temples.
The Peace Land (평화랜드)

The Peace Land is an amusement park located near the Imjingang River. It offers around twenty different types of rides, including a Viking ship, bumper cars, and merry-go-round. For added convenience, there is an unmanned convenience store on-site that accepts card payments exclusively, offering a variety of beverages, ice cream, and snacks. The park also has an infirmary where wound care is available. Nearby, visitors can enjoy the Peace Gondola, which provides a scenic way to cross the Imjingang River.
