Sugi Beach (수기해변)

Located on Sido Island in Incheon, Sugi Beach is easily accessible from Seoul. Sido Island is situated between Yeongjongdo Island and Ganghwado Island. The beach is not as crowded as other famous beaches, and is ideal for families or campers.

Sugi Beach was the filming location for the famous drama series "Full House (2004)." Sido Island connects Sindo Island and Modo Island, making it easy to tour the three islands by foot or car.

Cafe Rim (카페 림)

It is a café run by actor Jeong Gyu-woon. Although it is not far from downtown Seoul, it is built in the middle of nature where you can hear the sound of birds, providing a relaxing and healing experience to its visitors. The representative menu is “Nutella Cream Latte.” You can meet new signature menus for each season, and you can also taste various bakery desserts including “Red Bean & Scone.”

Hangang Jungang Park (한강중앙공원)

Hangang Jungang Park, a famous park in Janggi-dong that represents Gimpo New City, features a wildflower garden with the theme of native plants as well as a variety of spring flowers in Chohwawon Garden and a pleasant trail. Continuing from a vast grass plaza to Laveniche Waterside Park, this park is where the citizens of Gimpo New City can rest and relax. As you run along the Golden Waterway, you will be able to reach Laveniche, another pride of Gimpo with abundant things to eat, buy and enjoy. You can also take a leisurely walk, jog, or ride a bicycle.

Masian Beach (용유도 마시안해변)

Located in the vicinity of Incheon International Airport, Masian Beach is unique in that it offers visitors an opportunity to experience both wetland and a sandy beach at the same time. When the tide is low, visitors will be fascinated by the distinctive co-existence of endless black wetland and the ivory sandy beach. Pine trees surround the coast, giving it a distinctive charm as compared to other beaches. From Masian Beach, visitors can see Silmido Island, which was the location of the events portrayed in, as well as the filming location of the movie "Silmido (2003)," that drew such great interest and forced the history of Korean movies to be re-written. Near the coast, there are numerous pojangmacha (tented food stalls) offering grilled shellfish.

Memorial to the Loyal Dead (호국충혼위령비)

When the fate of the nation was hanging by a thread as the North Korean Army launched an invasion of the South on June 25, 1950, about 1,100 officers and men from the South Korean First Division's 11th, 12th, and 15th regiment retreated to Gimpo and built the last line of defense on Gaehwasan Mountain from June 26 to 30 to fight against a large army of North Korean soldiers disguised as South Korean men.

Unfortunately, their communication with the headquarters was cut off and their supply of ammunition and food ran out. As a result, the entire South Korean force was killed by the much larger North Korean army in a valley around Gaehwasan Mountain. In order to commemorate those who died for the country, the government established the Memorial to the Loyal Dead on Gaehwasan Mountain in 1994. A memorial service is also held here annualy on June 28th.

Jamjindo Island (잠진도)

Located in Jung-gu, Incheon, Jamjindo Island is a small island connected with Yeongjongdo Island. A road from the mainland to the island makes access to Jamjindo much more convenient. Its sunset views of mud flats dyed fantastic shades of red by the setting sun attract many visitors to take pictures and to dig out clams at low tide.

There are also crowds of visitors waiting to take the short (just 5 minute) ferry ride to Muuido Island (famous for connecting to Silmido Island) at the ferry dock in Jamjindo Island. Visitors should check the schedule of the ferry in advance as the ferry may not run to Muuido Island at low tide.

Eurwangni Beach, Hanagae Beach, and Deokgyo Beach are easily accessible to the island.
