Das Museum für traditionelle Kulturinhalte in Andong ist das erste digitale Museum in Korea. Präsentiert werden digitale Inhalte, die sogenannten “digitalen Relikte” (keine echten Relikte).

Dieses Museum setzt einen ganz neuen Museumsstandard. Es fungiert als Gegenüber für das NEWSEUM (News+Museum) in den USA und das ‘Sigureden’, ein digitales Ausstellungs-und Museumszentrum in Japan. Das Museum nutzt interaktive Computertechnologie, um dem Besuchern die koreanischen Traditionen näher zu bringen. Besucher haben somit die Möglichkeit die Kultur und die einzigartigen Facetten des Landes nicht nur durch leblose Objekte, sondern auch durch lebendige Geschichten kennenzulernen.

Das Museum präsentiert eine neue Art von Austellung. Das Museum verfügt über interaktive digitale Inhalte, durch welche Besucher die Kultur Koreas erleben können. Eine mögliche Aktivität im Museum ist das sogenannte ‘Click Traditional Sound’, bei dem man traditionelle koreanische Volkslieder oder Dialekte anhören kann. Auch das “Virtual Relic Experience” und das “Junior Old Story Talk Talk”, bei welchem koreanische Märchen und Mythen erzählt werden, sind einen Besuch wert. Auch bei dem “Hahoe Mask Dance UCC”, wo Besucher lernen können, wie man den Hahoe Maskentanz nachtanzen kann, und  beim “4D Digital Image of Gochang Battle”, welches einen praktischen Einblick in die histrorischen Schlachten gibt, sollte man sicherlich mal vorbeischauen.

Das Museum bietet die digitalen Inhalte den Produktentwicklern und der Spiele-und Animationsindustrie an, damit beide zusammen auf kultureller Ebene einen großen Beitrag leisten können. Das Museum bietet außerdem ein innovatives, an die Besucher individuell angepasstes RFID Kartensystem an, um individuell auf den Besucher zugeschnittene Führungen anzubieten. Die RFID Karte beinhaltet Infomationen zum Geschlecht und zur Nationalität des Besuchers und ermöglicht somit jedem eine ganz persönliche Museumsführung.
