Der Felsen Gatbawi in Mokpo ist ein natürlicher Sandstein mit Tafoni in der Nähe der Mündung des Flusses Yeongsangang, wo das Süßwasser aufs Meer trifft. Der Felsen besteht eigentlich aus zwei einzelnen Formationen: einer von 8 Metern Höhe und einer von 6 Metern Höhe, und hat auch einen hohen geologischen Wert als eine „natürliche Skulptur“, die das Ergebnis von jahrelanger Verwitterung ist. Am 27. April 2009 wurde die Skulptur offiziell als Naturdenkmal Nr. 500 anerkannt.
