Since opening in 1999, the owner of Jasmine has been the talk of the town because of his good nature. He had been featured in the local newspapers for his good deeds, such as providing food to neighbors in need and offering scholarship money to students from unprevileged families, with the belief that people should share even in general tough times.

The owner is very enthusiastic about serving customers the right way. He even hired a Chinese cook for tourists from China and Taiwan who came to Chuncheon because of Hallyu, or the Korean wave. In addition to authentic Chinese dishes for Chinese customers, the restaurant also serves other types of Chinese dishes that suit the tastes of Koreans. With the management philosophy that fresh ingredients are a must in bringing out the best flavor, the restaurant owner uses seafood from Mokpo and vegetables from Chuncheon in preparing delicious Chinese dishes for customers. The owner even holds a meeting every morning with the staff to provide better dishes and service.

Located next to Uiamho Lake, KT&G Sangsangmadang Chuncheon is a cultural space that combines “art” and “stay,” and Sangsangmadang Chuncheon Stay is a space pertaining to the latter. Housed in a remodeled former Gangwon Sports Hall building, it features a quirky exterior and tasteful interior design. Ivory-colored walls, white duck-down bedding, and brown furniture blend in seamlessly with orange or light green highlights. The management’s attentiveness is made evident in the temperature control in each room and the variety of bed arrangements for greater choice. The first floor of the building has a restaurant specializing in chicken dishes, and guests also have the choice of cooking their own food in the communal kitchen equipped with an induction stove, microwave oven, refrigerator, and cooking utensils. There are even music practice and performance rooms for artists. The surrounding area exemplifies the beauty of Chuncheon’s lakeside nature, best explored with bicycles. Nearby tourist sites include the Gongjicheon Recreation Area, Chuncheon Joung Do Mullegil, and Soyanggang Skywalk.

L’arboretum de la province Gangwondo se trouve sur la rive gauche de Chuncheon, ville des lacs, qui préserve une nature merveilleuse où montagnes et lacs se côtoient harmonieusement.
Cet établissement a été conçu afin de cultiver et exposer des fleurs et des arbres dans la région, de préserver et vulagriser leurs espèces, et d’établir une base pour les recherches et les expérimentations.
Une salle d’exposition des fleurs et des arbres locaux ainsi qu’un arboretum ont été construits de février 1996 à octobre 1998 sur la pépinière de Sanong-dong, Chuncheon, pour ouvrir leurs portes au public le 20 mai 1999.

L’établissement est actuellement utilisé comme centre d’études de la nature pour les écoliers, et espace culturel pour les citadins.
Ses principaux équipements sont : musée de la forêt de la province Gangwondo, salle d’exposition des fleurs et des arbres locaux, centre commercial des produits forestiers, conciergerie, pavillon Palgakjeong, entrepôt des outils agricoles.
Il abrite également l’arboretum de 15.092 pyeongs (environs 45.300 m2), Mangyeongwon (lierres), Jandiwon (pelouse), la place de la fontaine, l’étang et le pont de pierres.
