Imwonhang Port is widely considered to be the best place for catching sea bream in the East Sea, along with Japanese dace, spotty belly greenling, rockfish and flounder in the winter. The two major fishing spots are the outer harbor near the breakwater point and the inner harbor.

The rocks on the seashore in Sinnam and Galnam areas are popular especially in winter as the best fishing point to catch gold bream. The areas become crowded with fishers in the weekends and holidays, making parking difficult.
