Hapyeonghaebyeon Beach is a tranquil beach with a shallow shore lined with pine groves. The beach is only 20 minutes away on foot and 10 minutes' ride from Donghae Express Bus Terminal, making it a great beach destination for family vacationers and tourists. The 20-meter wide shoreline is 200 meters in lenth, all covered with white sand. The beach also has rocks along the coast that act as a natural breakwater, preventing rough waves from entering the shore, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for swimming.

Situated at the entrance of Mureung Valley, this environmental disease prevention and management center is directly run by Donghae city. Environmental diseases are those that develop due to environmental factors, such as atopic dermatitis, asthma, and allergic rhinitis. This center, spanning approx. 24,000 square meters, consists of an eco-friendly healing lodging, a themed experience center, a health consultation room, a thermal therapy room, and a natural health food restaurant. The accommodation facility, built with eco-friendly materials such as red clay and Hinoki cypress, offers healthy accommodations as well.
The themed experience center is a jjimjilbang (Korean sauna) created using natural materials, such as stones, soil, and salt. The White Sericite Room emits far-infrared rays and natural anions; the Red Clay Room is good for detoxification; and the Salt Cave's nano salt particles help cleanse one's respiratory system. These sauna rooms aid in improving environmental disease symptoms. The thermal therapy room features heated capsule-like beds that promote blood circulation. In addition, a resident nurse provides free health consultations based on visitors' basic examination results. You can participate in various programs without staying overnight, such as handcrafting using eco-friendly materials, themed experiences, health consultations, and a natural health food experience. Murung Byeolyucheonji (무릉별유천지)

Mureung Byeolyucheonji was initially a limestone mine that opened in 1968. After 40 years of service as a mine, today it serves as a tourist attraction that boasts beautiful emerald lake and diverse activities. Mureung Byeolyucheonji gets its name from the rock-carved engravings in Mureunggyegok Valley and has the meaning "the place with the best view under the sky, a utopia away from the world." The attraction lives up to its name thanks to the beautiful surrounding mountain scenery pit lakes. Located approximately 2.5 kilometers west of Samhwasa Temple, the entrance of Mureunggyegok Valley, Yongchupokpo Falls is a three-tiered waterfall in a shape of a pot that gets its waters from Cheongoksan Mountain (1,403.7 meters). Located 70 meters below Yongchupokpo Falls is Ssangpokpo Falls, where the water from Yongchupokpo Falls and Bakdalgyegok Valley meets to create a deep and beautiful base.

Pencil Museum (연필뮤지엄)

Pencil Museum, located in Donghae, is the first museum in Korea dedicated to pencils and has a collection of over 3,000 pencils from 100 countries worldwide. The exhibition consists of a pencil history corner and a themed exhibition that displays art pencils and character pencils. The museum also has an experience center where visitors can test out different kinds of pencils and a dedicated collection exhibit area. The 4th floor consists of an art shop and a cafe where one can enjoy the view of the East Sea.

Mukhohang Port (묵호항)

Situated in Donghae, Mukhohang Port opened in 1941 and used to be the most prolific trading port on the east coast. However, with the steady change in the economy, it has now become a center of fishing. A large wholesale seafood market at the port offers a wide array of freshly caught seafood. From early in the morning, merchants across the country gather at the market to purchase fresh seafood. Dried fish are also available.

Mukho Lighthouse, located atop Dongmunsan Mountain, opened in June 1963 as an unmanned lighthouse guiding ships into Mukhohang Port. The two-story lighthouse is 12 meters tall and is made from cement. The white lighthouse stands out against the blue sea and sky to create a fantastic image. The area surrounding the lighthouse has been turned into a small park. There is a large rock inscribed with a poem about the sea near the park entrance.
