Just south of Gyeongpo Beach is Chodang Dubu Village, which is famous for dubu (tofu). Chodang dubu is made from ground beans and salt water from the East Sea resulting in a soft and light tofu. The name of this village, Chodang, originates from the name of a famous family that once lived here known as Chodang Heoyeop. Heoyeop was the father of son, writer/poet Heo Gyun (1569~1618) and daughter, poet Heonan-seolheon (1563~1589). A traditional-style Korean house has been reconstructed on the site where the original house of Heo Gyun and Heonan Seolheon once stood.

The beach is located in Songjeong-dong with white sand, a length of 700 meters, and an area of 25,000㎡. The surrounding area is famous for its pine forests. It is said that when Choi Mun-han, the wife of King Chungsuk of Goryeo, came to Gangneung from Songdo, he brought 8 pine trees and planted them here. There is also the world's largest Charmsori Gramophone and Audio Museum, making it a great place to enjoy the summer and music. To the north across the bridge, visitors can find the Gangneunghang Port Yacht Marina and the Gangneung Coffee Street.

Anmokhaebyeon Beach spans over 500 meters in length and covers an area of 20,000 square meters. The beach is often packed with families on vacation.
