Maemiseong Fortress is a wall that was built alone by citizen Baek Soon-sam to protect crops from natural disasters, who lost arable land to Typhoon Maemi in 2003. Repeatedly stacking square stones near the beach and filling them with cement has now become a castle reminiscent of medieval times in Europe. Its scale and design are so great that it is hard to believe that it was built without a single blueprint.

At Woojebong Observatory, which offers a panoramic view of Woojebong and Haegumgang, you can see the actual backdrop of the final scene where the character Park Pyeong-ho meets his fate in the movie "Hunt." Heungnam Beach is located in Jangmok-myeon, Geoje-si. The beach boasts a fine sandy shore in the front and pebble stones covering the southern part of the coast. Nearby is Isudo Island, an island covered with pine trees, allowing visitors to enjoy the surrounding landscape while swimming. Pak Kyongni Memorial Hall (박경리 기념관)

Pak Kyongni Memorial Hall was established to deepen appreciation for the literary works of Tongyeong-born novelist Pak Kyongni. The main facilities include an exhibit hall, archive, and video hall. Visitors can explore her personal items, such as letters and autographic manuscripts of her most famous novel, Toji (The Land), as well as other books she wrote. Additionally, the site of the Memorial Hall, known as Pak Kyongni Park, encompasses her grave and a hexagonal pavilion, offering a tranquil space for visitors to reflect and spend time.

Tongyeong Ecological Forest (통영생태숲)

Moreover, visitors can see rabbits and deer, admire small fishing boats passing through Tongyeong Port from the observatory, and explore the forest with a guide.

Bijindo Beach (비진도해수욕장)

Located in the southern part of Mireukdo Island, Tongyeong-si, Gyeongsangnam-do, Dara Park was originally named for its resemblance to the tusk of an elephant. The name also means "A vista point for a view of the moon." On the path to the park is Gwanghaejeong Pavilion, which has an broad view of Hallyeohaesang National Park offers a prime location to watch the sunset.

Bijindo Island (비진도)

Bijindo Island is located 13 kilometers from Tongyeonghang Port. The island's main attraction is the 550-meter-long beach. Due to the unique formation of the island, with the beach appearing to connect two separate islands, it is possible to view both the sunrise and the sunset from the beach. The western side is a sandy beach, while the eastern side is a pebble beach.

Visitors to the island can also enjoy scenic attractions of Hallyeohaesang National Park, including Haegeumgang Island and Sipjaedonggul Cave. Bijindo Island is also a great place to enjoy seafishing or simply relax in the natural beauty.

Hallyeohaesang National Marine Park was designated as the first national marine park in 1968 and covers the area between Jisimdo Island in Geoje and Odongdo Island in Yeosu with six separate districts including Geoje, Tongyeong, Sacheon, Hadong, Namhae and Odongdo Island. It spans over an area of 535.676 ㎢ and the ocean accounts for 76% of the total area. The outstanding view created by the sea and land attracts over 1 million visitors every year.

The Tongyeong district of the park encompasses Dadohae Islets, Bijindo Island and Haegeumgang Islets. The Donam Complex in Tongyeong is being developed as a world-class marine tourist attraction. On Hansando Island, there are many historical sites dedicated or related to the great Admiral Yi Sun-sin, such as battlefields where the admiral defeated Japanese naval forces. Other sites include those related to the Imjin War such as Jeseungdang, Chungnyeolsa and the turtle lighthouse. The Sanyang Road is a great driving course along where one can see the entire Mireukdo Island and appreciate the scenery. From Dara Park, visitors can enjoy the great view of Dadohae Islets. Major attractions include Hansando Island, Bijindo Island and Maemuldo Islands; the latter two are often said to be the focal point of this scenic sea park.
