Gukdonghang Port is a natural fishing port in Yeosu, surrounded by Islands, which protects it from the strong winds and waves. It serves as a key seafood hub of Yesou and plays an important role in regional development. Located next to the port, Gukdonghang Subyeon Park is a serene retreat place, popular among locals. With palm trees, green lawns, and lots of benches, it is a perfect place for a stroll or to spend some peaceful time. At the end of the park, visitors can enjoy a nice sea breeze with a beautiful view of the Yesou Sea and try various treats at food trucks.

The Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Yeosu is a 24-storey hotel in Dolsan-eup, Yeosu-si, Jeollanam-do. The hotel faces the sea, with Hallyeohaesang National Park on one side and Dolsan Neighborhood Park on the other. This pike eel restaurant on Gyeongdo Island is said to be the first place in Korea to offer gaetjangeo shabu-shabu. It is located at the entrance to Gyeongdo Quay at Oedong Village, and you can enjoy a panoramic view of Yeosu as you dine. The restaurant serves pike eel dishes made with pike eel caught by the owner, and from late April to early November, it serves gaetjangeo shabu-shabu, also known as “hamo yubiki.”

Rostia is a dining café overlooking the sea in front of Dolsan, Yeosu. Popular menu items include the Dolsan gat suje burger (Dolsan leaf mustard fresh burger), made with the specialty of Yeosu, and the Truffles myeongnan gat pasta (Truffles pollack roe pasta with leaf mustard). As a large café, it offers beanbags and swings for guests to relax after their meal. The changing scenery of the sea, depending on the tides, adds to its charm.

Yeosu Seonso (Shipyard) Historic Site (여수 선소유적)

Yeosu Seonso Historic Site is located in Sijeon-dong, Yeosu-si, Jeollanam-do. This shipyard houses the Turtle Ship designed by Admiral Yi Sun-sin and Na Dae-yong, who were renowned for their shipbuilding skills during the Japanese Invasion of Korea.
The shipyard site includes a gulgang (small stream to dock ships), a stone moorage for anchoring ships, a dolbeoksu (stone pole), and a Segeomjeong site.

Namhae Saengseon Gui is a well-established restaurant in Yeosu known for its grilled fish dishes. It offers a variety of fresh fish from Namhae grilled to perfection. The signature menu includes a modeum gui (assorted grilled dish) such as cutlassfish, mackerel, and yellow croaker. When you order grilled fish, it comes with a delicious doenjang guk (soybean paste soup) and generous side dishes typical of Jeollanam-do province. Located near Yeosu City Hall and Geobukseon Park.

Dolsando Island located in Yeosu-si, Jeollanam-do, is famous for its beautiful camellia flowers. Hyangiram Hermitage lies at the eastern tip of the island where you can see the beautiful sunrise. Unlike other seas, the sea of Dolsando has unique scenery created by uninhabited islands, which stick out here and there from the sea, and its scenery in harmony with the emerald-colored water arouses the admiration of onlookers. Yeosu Art Land Resort is located near Somisan Mountain from which you can view three islands - Naechido, Oechido and Hyeoldo - floating as if they are wandering on the sea, and it boasts more outstanding scenery than any other resorts. In particular, the “Hand of Midas,” which extends out towards the sea, has been selected online as a must-visit photo spot of Korea and attracts countless number of tourists every day.
