Located halfway up Unaksan Mountain, also known as the small Seoraksan of Gyeonggi-do, Sun Hill Golf Club has four beautifully designed courses (Sun, Valley, Pine and Hill courses with 9 holes each) that combine to give a total of 36 holes and a 9-hole Par 3 golf course. The golf resort boasts of the best quality green fields and beautiful natural scenery all throughout the year. Located at the foot of Unaksan Mountain in Gapyeong, Premium Kids Pool Villa is a pension that offers a range of services tailored for families with children. Guests can freely run inside the guest rooms, and enjoy private swimming pools and jungle gym for kids. The facilities are very clean as they were recently remodeled in Februrary 2021. There are 11 guest rooms in Premium Kids Pool villa. There are 5 private kids pool villas and 6 standard kids pool villa. The private Kids Pool villas are two-story buildings with a floor area of about 125 m2. Each pool villa can accommodate up to eight guests. The standard kids pool villas have a floor area of 72 m2, and can accommodate up to six guests each. Inside the guest rooms, two-story indoor jungle gyms integrated with slides and mini trampolines catch the eyes first. The guest rooms are decorated with colorful animation characters. You can select a room that your children like the most as each room has a slightly different interior design. In addition, there are also toy kitchen sets and toy vehicles for indoors. Lukewarm water is available for all private swimming pools inside the guest rooms for an additional charge. The guest rooms are full equipped with baby bottle sterilizers, high chairs for kids, kids tableware sets, and kids bath supplies. Guests can cook in the kitchen fully equipped with appliances and utensils. Grilling is available in the private barbecue areas. The pension hires a professional disinfection service company on a regular basis. Nearby are Unaksan Mountain, which is also called Sogeumgang Valley, as well as Hyeondeungsa Temple and Morning Calm Arboretum.

Ssunil Garden is a restaurant known for its traditional Korean hand-made set menu, offering an array of side dishes along with freshly grown ssamchaeso (vegetables for wraps). The menu features yuginong ssambap (organic leaf wraps and rice), which is perfectly paired with the spicy and savory jeyukbokkeum (spicy stir-fried pork). Additionally, the set menu includes jat dubu (pine nut bean curd), saengseon gui (grilled fish), soup, and gamasot bap (rice cooked in cast-iron pot). Their yangnyeom gejang (spicy marinated crab) and ganjang gejang (soy sauce marinated crab) are highly recommended. Due to its early opening hours, the restaurant also serves breakfast.

Unaksan Mountain rises 934.7 meters above sea level. Oddly shaped rocks and peaks make the landscape particularly beautiful. Historical relics from the Later Goguryeo period, including the site of a fortress for Gung Ye (the first king of the short-lived Later Goguryeo state) can be seen on the mountain. Majestic peaks surround Mangyeongdae, the main peak, and forests of broad-leaved trees turn striking colors in the fall.

The trails are beautiful with purple magnolias in mid-April and azaleas and mountain magnolias in May. The Unaksan Mountain Autumn Leaves Festival is held in mid-October every year as the leaves begin to turn. Together with Gwanaksan, Chiaksan, Hwaaksan, and Songaksan Mountains, Unaksan Mountain is one of the five most rugged mountains in the Central region and a popular one.

Pocheon Sansawon is a museum of traditional Korean liquor, mainly home-brewed liquor. Several rows of liquor crock pots in Sewollang, the garden in Sansawon, create a magnificent view. The source of Yongchu Falls, Mount Yeoninsan (연인산) stands at 1,068 meters above sea level and features soft terrain and beautiful scenery. Local folklore has it that those coming to the mountain wishing for true love will have their dreams come true.

The soil of Mount Yeoninsan is fertile, offering a great natural environment for a variety of flowers and trees. Numerous types of wild flowers thrive from early spring to late autumn. The trail connecting Mount Yeoninsan with mounts Myeongjisan, Cheonggyesan, and Gwimokbong remains relatively unspoiled by human influence: cooking and camping in the area is strictly forbidden. All the mountains in the trail are over 1,000 meters high. A defining feature of Mount Yeoninsan is the royal azaleas that bloom in late May. The County of Gapyeong celebrates the royal azalea by hosting the Mount Yeoninsan (Natural Ecology) Festival in May of each year.

Also ideal for hiking, Mount Yeoninsan offers a number of trails: one starts from Buk-myeon in Baekdun-ri, one from Mail-ri, and one from Yongchu Valley. With a minimum of climbing, hikers can take in a variety of scenic views, ranging from the bloom of the royal azaleas in the spring to the beauty of the changing leaves in the fall.

Myeongjisan County Park (명지산 군립공원)

Standing at 1,267 meters above sea level, Myeongjisan Mountain is the second highest mountain in Gyeonggi-do after Hwaaksan Mountain. It is a popular destination all year round, as it offers plenty of resting areas with splendid views of the surrounding nature.

In addition, Myeongjigyegok Valley, spanning 30 kilometers, is a great outdoor picnic spot, while the trail from Sangpan-ri to Ikgeun-ri is the most preferred hiking trail on the mountain.

The Ildong Jaeil Oncheon is situated in the hot springs region of Pocheon-gun. Many visitors from the Seoul and Gyeongin areas come for the high-quality water that comes from the hot springs located 800~1000 meters underground.

Visitors to the Ildong hot springs region also enjoy the famous Idong galbi (grilled meat), visit the nearby Baekunsan, Gwangdeoksan, Cheonggyesan, and Unaksan Mountain ranges and also visit Nasan Golf Course and Ildong Lake.

The Ildong Jaeil Oncheon’s hot springs water are known to be effective in treating rheumatism, obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, neuralgia, women’s diseases, arthritis, and various skin ailments.

Gapyeong Baengnyeonsa Temple (백련사(가평))

Baengnyeonsa Temple is surrounded by mountains, as it is located off Yongmunsan, Myeongjisan, and Daegeumsan Mountains. On each side of the temple, one can also find Unaksan Mountain as well as Cheonmasan Mountain. In addition, just behind the temple are Chungnyeongsan Mountain and Seorisan Mountain.

This temple was built relatively recently, so the temple only has a few cultural treasures. However, as compared to the average temple in Korea, it is distinguished by its well-designed and refined architectures. The decorations in the temple are simple, with no overly vibrant colors nor complicated designs so as to help in seeking peace and inspiration.

The temple is also known for its hiking trails and beautiful scenery offered by the surrounding mountains.
