Nonhyeon Furniture Street, extending over 900 meters from Nonhyeon Station to Hakdong Station on the Seoul Subway, is renowned for its dense aggregation of furniture stores. Established as a dedicated furniture street in 1970, it now features showrooms and sales outlets from over 100 furniture companies. This destination allows visitors to browse and compare an extensive variety of furniture in one convenient location, including design furniture, craft furniture, kitchen sets, office furnishings, and imported pieces. Cheongansa Temple (천간사)

Cheongansa Temple was first built in 1960, and was re-built in 2009. It has many pagodas and monuments: a pagoda filled with sari relics of Buddha; Budotap Pagoda, which is a shrine to the monk who found the temple and his sacred relics; and a monument honoring the late first lady Yuk yeong-su. The re-built temple was awarded the Hanok Prize in the Hanok Competition 2011. Located along the Bukhansan Mt. Dulaegil Trail, the temple provide visitors with the chance to enjoy fresh air and a rest from hiking along the trail.

Soon after its opening in 1983, the Park Ryu Sook Gallery moved to Cheongdam-dong, an uncharted territory back in 1988. Ever since, the gallery has played a significant role in turning the region into one of the most representative art places in Korea. Uireung Royal Tomb [UNESCO World Heritage] (서울 의릉(경종, 선의왕후) [유네스코 세계문화유산])

Uireung is the royal tomb of King Gyeongjong (reign 1720-1724), the 20th ruler of the Joseon dynasty, and his second wife, Queen Seonui.

King Gyeongjong was the first son of King Sukjong and Janghuibin, who was one of King Sukjong’s concubines. King Gyeongjong, who was born weak and anemic, died four years after becoming the king, without any great political achievements. Uireung tombs differ from the other royal double tombs in that they are not placed side-by-side. Instead, according to geomantic theory, one tomb has been placed directly behind the other one. The arrangement also shows that when making tombs, Korean ancestors did their best to protect the natural environment. Another feature of Uireung Royal Tomb is the stone fence raised using twelve stone posts. Each post has a letter inscribed, representing one of the twelve sibijisin gods.

Bamseom Island (Ecosystem Conservation Area) (밤섬 생태경관 보전지역)

Located at the Hangang River, Bamseom Island derives its name from its chestnut-like shape (bam in Korean). The island was designated as an Ecosystem Conservation Area by the Seoul Metropolitan Government in 1999 and was later recognized as Ramsar Wetland in 2012. Now an uninhabited island, Bamseom Island was once home to around 443 people, who were relocated after the island was exploded as part of the Yeouido Development Project. Today, it is known as a habitat for numerous migratory birds and plant species. People can enjoy views of the Island from Bamseom Park.
