Mosim is a Korean table d’hote restaurant that offers a variety of menus to choose from depending on the kind of dishes and the number of side dishes. The set menu, which includes main dishes, such as hwangtae gui (grilled dried pollack) and galbitang (galbi soup), and side dishes, such as salad, japchae, and seasoned vegetables, is plentiful in amount and variety enough to fill the table. There are menu items that can be enjoyed individually, such as samgyetang, bibimbap, and yukgaejang (spicy beef soup). Sungnyemun Gate (숭례문)

Sungnyemun Gate is Korea’s National Treasure No. 1, and its unofficial name is Namdaemun Gate. Sungnyemun Gate is the largest castle gate stone structure with an arched entrance in the middle. There’s a column on top of a platform, raising the roof, distinguishing the upper stories and lower stories of the building. Passageways for traffic are located at the east and west ends of the gate. Different from the other gates, Sungnyemun Gate’s tablet has its name written vertically.

On February 10, 2008, Sungnyemun was destroyed by fire. After a 5-year reconstruction work, the gate was re-opened to the public again on May 4, 2013.

Seoul City Wall Museum (한양도성박물관)

Hanyangdoseong, the Seoul City Wall, built in 1396, was the city fortress wall that protected the capital city Seoul for over 600 years. The fortress wall was built along the terrains and although it became partially damaged during the modernization process, its original form remains well to this day, making it a cultural heritage that coexists with the modern city. The Seoul City Wall Museum, located in Heungjinjimun Park, is a museum containing the history and culture of city wall from the Joseon dynasty to the present. It is a cultural space with a permanent exhibition hall, special exhibition hall, city wall information center, and study room.

Myeongdong Cathedral (서울 명동성당)

Myeongdong Cathedral is the Church for Archdiocese of Seoul and was also the birthplace for the Roman Catholic Church community in Korea. The church houses the remains of several individuals: Bishop Laurent Joseph Marie Imbert (1796-1839), and priests Peter Simon (1803-1839), James (Jacques Honor Chastan, 1803-1839) and Pourthie Jean Antoine Charles (1830-1866) and four martyrs.

Myeongdong Cathedral is located in downtown Seoul and tourists frequently come and visit the place. The Gangseo Marsh Ecological Park is an eco-park located on the Hangang River between the southern side of Banghwadaegyo Bridge and southern side of Haengjudaegyo Bridge. Established in July 2007, the park is partly comprised of low wetlands, freshwater lakes, and various aquatic plants. Eco-trails wind around the park through reed areas, around willow trees, and past the migratory bird observation. At the park, visitors can watch and learn about a variety of migratory birds during summer and winter or join one of the park’s organized eco-education programs.
