Chaeseokgang Cliff refers to a rocky cliff and the sea around it near the Gyeokpohang Port and Dagibong areas on Byeonsanbando Peninsula. The name Chaeseokgang was adapted as it resembles an attraction of the same name in China. Chaeseokgang Cliff was formed from many layers of rocks stratified by the sea, and the blue sea and the rock cliffs together create quite a lovely picture. It is nature’s masterpiece of stratification, and visitors can observe interesting structures and shapes that cannot be seen elsewhere.

Nestled on the slope of Munsusan Mountain (alt. 621 m) in Gochang, Jeollabuk-do and Jangseong, Jeollanam-do, Munsusa Temple is located in the area of a dense mountain ridge to the west of Gosu Kiln Site in Gosu-myeon, and Josan Reservoir. The ridge features clean water and a thick forest that has remained uncontaminated due to its isolated location.
The temple's establishment date is uncertain. The temple houses Daeungjeon Hall (Local Tangible Cultural Heritage No. 51) and Munsujeon Hall (Local Tangible Heritage No. 52), as well as Myeongbujeon and Hansanjeon Halls. Daeungjeon is a small building featuring the unique architecture of gable roofing. Visitors will be fascinated by the temple's scenery, boasting valley waters flowing from dense forests. It is particularly beautiful in fall, when the autumn foliage harmonizes well with the colors of the old temple. The temple grounds are surrounded by a colony of maple trees 100 to 400 years old.
The Forest of Maple Trees at Munsusa Temple, Gochang, was designated in 2005 as Natural Monument No. 463. It covers the area from the entrance of Munsusan Mountain to the entrance of Munsusa Temple with nearly 500 maple trees lining the 80 meter-long path.

Located 24 kilometers west of Yeonggwang-eup, Gamami Beach was first opened in 1925. The beach is 1 kilometer in length and 200 meters in x_width, and has the shape of a half moon. Around 200 pine trees encompass the area and form a dense cozy forest. The water is only about 1 to 2 meters deep and its clear waters make it one of the three best beaches in the southwestern part of Korea.
Small islands dot the sea in front of the beach and the view of the fishing boats drifting by is very peaceful. The sunset on the west gives off a different vibe from the sunrise of the east. Near the beach area is a coastal drive way with a wonderful view of the coast. Dombaeseom Island, famous for ocean fishing, and Chilsando Island are lined up more or less in a row.

Located at the end of Jeokbyeokgang Cliff, Suseongdang Shrine is the only shrine in Korea that is dedicated to the sea god “Gaeyang Halmeoni” (Granny Gaeyang), the deity who rules over the West Sea, and her eight daughters. This is a place that holds rituals for the welfare and safety of fishers. Visitors can also see cairns dedicated to the fishermens’ safety. For tourists, however, this shrine is notable for its canola flowers. In early spring, the road connecting Suseongdang Shrine with Jeokbyeokgang Cliff blooms in yellow canola flowers, creating a beloved view and a premier photo area of the region. The cliffs are a great location for geological and ecological educational moments when visiting nearby attractions such as Chaeseokgang River and Gyeokgo Beach.
