Following the discovery of a dinosaur footprint within the region in 1992, Haenam Uhangri Dinosaur Museum was founded to promote the area's significance as a fossil site. The museum provides materials and exhibitions related to dinosaurs as well as Ulhang-ri as a natural heritage site.

The Tracksite of Dinosaurs, Pterosaurs, and Birds in Uhang-ri is where the world's most intricate fossil footprints of dinosaurs and birds were discovered. The track site was designated as a Natural Monument for its significance and serves as an educational site for studying earth science and dinosaurs from the Cretaceous period. There is a museum that has on display 447 materials related to fossils, including actual fossil pieces of an Allosaurus, along with exhibitions dedicated to giant dinosaurs, sea reptile, and birds.

Yi Chungmugong's Byeokpajin Battle Monument, located at Byeokpajeong was built to commemorate the victory of Admiral Yi Sun-sin and honor the souls of martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the battle of Myeongnyang. The epitaph of the monument, penned by Lee Eunsang, features the calligraphy by Son Jae Hyeong. Although just a small fishing port now, Byeokpajin was a crucial port connecting Jindo and Haenam before the Jindo Bridge was built in 1984. It still holds a great historical significance.

Woosooyoung Tourist Attractions area became a national tourist site in 1986, and Memorial Park of Admiral Yi was added in 1991, serving as an educational site. The area overlooks Uldolmok, and features a shrine from the past that commemorates the great victory that was achieved by Admiral Yi Sun-Sin in the Battle of Myeongnyang (1597) and a large geobukbae (turtle ship). The area hosts a history festival every October and covers many history-related experience programs throughout the year.

The Battle of Myeongnyang Memorial is located next to the narrow strait called Uldolmok, between Haenam and Jindo. Uldolmok is the site where Admiral Yi Sunsin, under his command, defeated over 300 Japanese warships with only 13 Korean ships during the Japanese Invasion of Korea in 1592 (1592-1598). The exhibition hall commemorates the Myeongnyang Battle and displays weapons used during the Japanese Invasion of Korea in 1592. Visitors can also observe the turbulent currents of Uldolmok from the skywalk.

Yongjangseong Fortress, built by Sambyeolcho as an anti-Mognolian facility in Jindo, is located on the mountain ridge of the northern coast of Jindo. Although most of the fortress has disappeared, parts of the fortress walls along with the site of the Yongjangsa Temple and the palace still remain preserved. Nearby attractions such as the Yongjang Fortress Exhibit Building can be visited together.

Jindo Tower, located on top of Manggeumsan Mountain near the Jindo Bridge, has become a popular tourist attraction among international visitors and Korean tourists alike. The tower was built in recognition of Jindo residents who aided General Admiral Yi Sun-sin in winning the battle of Myeongnyang Daecheop against the Japanese invasion. The tower has various convenience facilities, including a restaurant and a café, allowing visitors to have a comfortable trip while taking in the beautiful surrounding view.

Jindodaegyo Bridge measures 484 meters in length and 11.7 meters in x_width, and is located between Nokjin-ri, Gunnae-myeon, Jindo-gun and Hak-dong, Munnae-myeon, Haenam-gun on National Road No. 18. The bridge has been a popular tourist attraction since its completion on October 18, 1984. On December 15, 2005, the second Jindo Bridge opened, from which visitors can observe breathtaking sunsets and evening views while enjoying the fantastic nearby sceneries. Uldolmok, a passage to the West Sea, is a strait between Haenam and Jindo. Uldolmok is also known as the location of Myeongnyang Daecheop, one of the three major naval battles won by Admiral Yi Sun-sin. The x_width of the strait is only 294 meters, which is similar to that of the Hangang River. Jindodaegyo Bridge is the most accessible gateway to Jindo Island, a place with many local specialties and unique cultural arts.

Yonggung haemultang is a Korean restaurant that has maintained its reputation for serving a single haemultang (spicy seafood stew) since its opening. The dish is filled with over 30 varieties of seafood such as thin-legged octopu, blue crab, jumbo conch, jumbo shrimp, oyster, cuttlefish, rockfish, clam, and pen shell, giving the impression of having the entire sea in a pot.
