Le festival international de danse de Busan est l’un des plus grands festivals de danse de tous les temps, avec plus de 779 spectacles par 127 troupes de danse différentes. Les danseurs viennent du monde entier (Corée, Inde, Estonie, Israël, Vénézuela, Chine, Irlande, Russie, France, Japon et les Etats-Unis) et se produiront sur la scène de Haeundae.

Le festival international de danse de Busan, qui a lieu pour la sixième année consécutive, sera organisé autour du thème « Festival du relais de la danse ou Terre, ciel et mer », et se déroulera sur la scène spéciale de Haeundae et dans les alentours de Busan.

La danseuse classique de renommée internationale Sue Jin Kang est l’invitée d’honneur de cette année et a été désignée comme ambassadrice du FIDB.

Situé en face de la gare ferroviaire de Busan, le quartier a été baptisée « quartier de Shanghai ».
