Désignée comme monument culturel de Busan, tout comme l’Ile Oryukdo, la Station Taejongdae est l'un des fleurons culturels de la ville de Busan, elle est particulièrement connue pour sa plage de rochers. Caractérisée par son pic d'une hauteur de 250 mètres, la station compte également des forêts de sapins et 200 autres variétés d’arbres. Taejongdae a été nommé en empruntant le nom du 29ème roi de la Dynastie Silla (BC 57~AD 935), le roi Taejong, Mu-Yeol (604~661). Le roi Taejong avait ainsi effectué de nombreux voyages dans sa vie mais on raconte qu’il affectionnait particulièrement cet endroit pour s'entraîner au combat notamment.

Sous le phare de cette station estivale, vous trouverez un rocher appelé Rocher Sinseon, nommé d’après un mythe qui raconte que les dieux et déesses s'y rendaient pour se relaxer. Sur ce rocher, on trouve également une statue de pierre appelée Mangbuseok nommée d’après l’histoire d’une femme qui attendait son époux qu’on avait emmené au Japon, symbole de la femme fidèle à son mari. La station de loisir Taejongdae est également bien connue pour ses rituels de prières en faveur de la pluie, rituels qui sont tenus lors des périodes de sécheresses mais aussi chaque 10 mai du calendrier lunaire, jour qu’on appelle 'Jour de la pluie Taejongu'. Depuis cet observatoire, on peut apercevoir l’Ile japonaise Tsushima, lorsque le temps le permet.

The restaurant mainly serves Chungcheong-do Province style food called ‘heot jesabap’ (food offered at ancestral memorial service).
This ‘heot jesabap’ includes 5 different types of ‘namul’ (vegetable and wild green salads), ‘jogi’ (grilled yellow corvina fish), ‘samsaekjeon’ (three colored pan-fried dish), and ‘tangguk’ (simmered soup).
‘Sungnyung’ (scorched rice tea) is interestingly served before the meal and they usually bring out ‘huin tteouk’ (white rice cake) after the meal.
It is a favorite spot for many foreign visitors because it is a place where you can indulge yourself in the true traditional Korean dining experience.

Un spectacle de théatre coréen diffusant un message anti-guerre poignant
Les coréens pensent qu’autrefois, les anges descendaient des cieux pour se baigner dans la lumière terrestre. Le théatre Cho-In reprend le joli conte d’une créature céleste tombant amoureuse d’un bûcheron, dans une version saisissante se déroulant au plein milieu d’une terrible guerre, où elle doit tout sacrifier pour sa famille.

La troupe Cho-In propose ce spectacle de manière non-verbale, utilisant des marionnettes, de belles chorégraphies et de la musique traditionnelle, pour donner un aperçu unique sur la riche histoire culturelle de la Corée.

La troupe Cho-In se produit dans le monde entier et a également produit la pièce « Hotel Splendid » (une histoire sur les femmes de confort coréennes auprès des soldats japonais durant la seconde guerre mondiale) en Corée en Mai 2008. Assurez-vous de voir le speactcle avant que la troupe parte en tournée pour son tour de Grande-Bretagne en avril.
