Opened in 1985, Cheoksan Spatel is a natural hot springs with strong alkaline water at 53℃, formed 4000 m below sea level. The water is said to be highly effective in the removal of impurities and treatment of skin conditions. Rooms available include both bedrooms and ondol (under-the-floor heating system) rooms. Each room has a small bath supplied with hot springs water in the bathroom. Guests are also offered a single-use ticket to the hot springs area.
There are plenty of onsite facilities as well, from the hot springs area with many different types of baths to ladies-only spa therapy at Spa Healing Center, walking paths through a pine grove, and an observation deck with a view of Seoraksan Mountain’s Ulsan Peak. A 1.708 mètres d'altitude, Daecheongbong est le plus haut sommet du mont. Seoraksan Parc national et le troisième plus haut sommet en Corée après le Mt. Halla (1.950 mètres) et le mont. Jirisan (1.915 mètres). Elle marque le point où Nae-Serok (intérieur de Serok) répond à Oe-Serok (exterieur Serok). En raison du climat irrégulier et des basses températures, elle abrite diverses plantes de haute montagne ainsi que 50 plantes rares, mais aussi une grande variété d'oiseaux sauvages. De Daecheongbong Peak, vous pouvez apprécier le paysage fascinant du Mont. Seoraksan dans les quatre directions.

Le sentier de randonnée le plus populaire au Daecheongbong Peak commence à partir de Sogongwon et passe le Biseondae et les pavillons Hoeungak. De Daecheongbong Peak, le sentier continue vers les cascades Seorak et la source minérale d'Osaek. La distance d'un parcours est d'environ 16 kilomètres et dure environ 11 heures et 20 minutes. A environ 10 minutes de chutes Oryeon, vous trouverez un refuge où les visiteurs peuvent passer la nuit avec le principe du premier arrivé, premier servi.
