Situé à Suncheon, une ville du Jeolla du Sud riche en sites touristiques, le plateau de tournage de Suncheon est un décor en plein air construit à l’origine pour la série Amour et ambition diffusée en 2006.
On y trouve des reconstitutions fidèles des habitations typiques des années 1960 à 1980, utilisées dans de nombreux dramas célèbres tels que Giant, East of Eden, King of Baking, Kim Tak-goo ou encore Chroniques d’un vendeur de sang.
Les visiteurs peuvent parcourir les ruelles du décor et même essayer des uniformes scolaires d’époque pour une immersion totale.

Ce site est le plus grand plateau de tournage de films et de séries télévisées en Corée, reproduisant de manière vivante le quotidien de la Corée moderne entre les années 1960 et 1980.
Les visiteurs peuvent déambuler dans les rues du centre-ville de Suncheon des années 60, le quartier de Bongcheon-dong à Séoul dans les années 70, ou encore les faubourgs de la capitale dans les années 80 — une balade immersive qui donne l’impression d’être un personnage de film.
Plus de 80 œuvres y ont été tournées, dont récemment les dramas Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938 et Pachinko.
