Pour fêter l’Assomption de la Bienheureuse Vierge-Marie, le pape François a visité le Stade de la Coupe du Monde de Daejeon le 15 août 2014. Ce jour-là était un jour spécial car c’était à la fois le jour de la fête de l’Assomption mais aussi le jour de l’indépendance de la Corée et la fin de sa colonisation par le Japon. Le Stade de la Coupe du Monde de Daejeon est un stade de football ayant une capacité de 42 000 places. C’est un stade international où des matchs de la Coupe du Monde de 2002 co-organisée avec le Japon se sont déroulés et où la Corée a remporté son huitième de finale.

Le parc Dongchundang a été créé lorsque la structure Dongchundang et les alentours ont été convertis en un parc, mélangeant le bâtiment historique avec un écrin naturel. La structure a été construite en 1653 durant la 4ème année du règne du Roi Hyojong. 

Dongchundang était la résidence de Song Junggil (1606~1672), une figure renommée qui a servi en tant que Daesaheon, Ijopanseo, Byeongjopanseo (poste gouvernemental sous le roi Hyojong). Aujourd’hui, la structure est désignée comme le 209ème trésor culturel de Corée.

Daecheongho Obaengni (500ri) Road is a 220km walking path covering an area of Daejong (Dong-gu, Daedeok-gu) and Chungcheongbuk-do (Cheongwon, Okcheon, Boeun). In addition, the road includes the surrounding area of Daecheongho Lake like a natural community, small streams, trekking road, a forest trail, an old path, and so on. The Obangni (500ri) from the name comes from the distance of 500ri from Seoul or Busan from Daecheongho Lake.

Centered in Daecheongho Lake, several wild mountains at an altitude of 200-300m and trees are bound in a round that appeals visitors to enjoy the every path including a date course, a meditation course, a trekking course, a family trip course to experience the rular culture and cultural exploration, a bike driving course and others with diffrent themes. Due to such things, the road got Asian Townscape Awards by UN-HABITAT.

In the vicinity to the road, there are tourism attractions such as Daecheong Dam Water Culture Center, Daecheongho Sculture Park, Daecheongho Art Museum, Daecheongho Natural Ecology Center and others that are available to experience and use the facilities related to the road. In addition, there are historic cultural tourism spots like Cheongwon Cheongnamdae, Munui Cultural Properities Site, Boeun Songnisan Mountain, Okcheon Dujunbong Peak, a birthplace of Jeong Jiyong and a birthplace of Yuk Yeongsu ane more spots.

Temple Biamsa (비암사)

Les origines du temple Biamsa sont inconnues. Son architecture rappelle cependant le style utilisé durant la période de la Dynastie Goryeo (918-1392). Le Hall Geungnakbojeon et Samcheungseoktap (pagode de trois étages) situés dans le temple ont été désignés Propriétés Culturelles de Chungcheongnam-do.
Le temple Biamsa est devenu célèbre après la découverte des Samyeongunsang, les statues situées près de la pagode. Parmi ces statues, les trois représentants Buddha ont été nommées Trésor National N°106. Les statues d’Amitabha et de Maitreya ont quant à elle été nommées respectivement Trésor National N°367 et 368.
