Jongmyodaeje, organisé par l'Administration de l'héritage culturel et la Fondation de l'héritage culturel coréen et dirigé par la Comité d'accomplissement de Jongmyodaeje se tient tous les ans au mois de mai. En tant que 56ème trésor culturel et intangible classé, Jongmyodaeje a lieu à Jongmyo, patrimoine culturel du monde. Il s'agit d'une occasion rare de voir le trésor culturel tangible et le trésor culturel intangible s'unir en même temps. Le jour du rite, vous pouvez le voir gratuitement et sans réservation à l'avance.

Jongmyo Daeje vit le jour en tant que rîtuel royal anecestral afin d’honorer les rois et reines de la Dynastie Joseon. Durant cette période de Joseon, le rituel eut lieu cinq fois dans l’année (au printemps, en été, en automne, en hiver et en décembre) avant d’être aboli par une loi pendant la colonisation japonaise. En 1969, Jongmyo Daeje fut rétabli et se tient depuis tous les mois de mai.

Le Théâtre de Changdeokgung est situé en face du Palais Changdoeokgung dans la Zone Culturelle Spéciale Gungangno de Séoul. La porte Heunginjimun a été construite pour protéger Hanseongbu, lieu de gouvernance historique du pays. La porte Heunginjimun était la porte à l'est de la muraille de Séoul parmi les 8 portes de l'édifice. Elle est aussi appelée la porte Dongdaemun. La porte fut construite durant la 5ème année de règne du roi Taejo en 1396 puis réaménagé durant le règne du roi Danjong en 1453. Elle fut reconstruite en 1869 durant la sixième année de règne du roi Gojong. Elle est un symbole de l'architecture de la fin de la période de la dynastie Joseon.

The ondol room furnished with traditional beddings is popular not only among foreigners but also among Koreans due to its special ambience. The ceiling of the room dates back to 80 years ago. The rafter put on the roof at the time of construction of the house shows the antiqueness of the house. The toenmaru (a narrow wooden porch running along the outside of a room) that comes alive with the frequent coming and going of people adds to the ambience of the traditional Korean house, with the Sansuyu (corni) tree and vegetable garden beside the Korean-style house creating a leisurely atmosphere. Beyond being a mere place to sleep in, “The Place Seoul” aims to be a composite cultural space whose motto is “the place to fill.” A simple wedding or a small-scale performance is held in the garden during the day. The rooms can be rented for small meetings. “The Place Seoul” sponsors “WWOOF KOREA,” an NGO promoting environment-friendly agriculture as well as the right dietary life, “Slow Food Korea,” and “Slow Box.” As such, the place serves a special healthy breakfast consisting of homemade bread, handmade yogurt, and organic fruits and vegetables.
