L'habitat des lotus blancs Hoesan de Muan, appelé 'Baengnyeonji' en coréen, est le plus grand habitat consacré aux lotus blancs en Asie. Les lotus resplendissent entre juillet septembre. Un festival est organisé sur place en août.

Désigné monument majeur de Jeollanam-do, le Pavillon Sikyeongjeong signifie « lieu où même l’ombre de la lune peut trouver un endroit où se reposer ». Comme son nom le suggère, ce pavillon est positionné dans une zone forestiere luxuriante et isolée. Un très grand nombre de lettrés et écrivains furent attirés par lui, car leur étant une ecxellente source d’inspiration. Le pavillon a gagné en célebrité grâce aux vers légendaires de Seongsanbyeolgok, écrits par le poète Jeong Cheol. Les élégants mots de Kim Seongwon, lettré, illustrent la beauté pittoresque du Mont Seongsan pendant les différentes saisons.

De tous les pavillons situés au bassin du fleuve Yeongsangang, l’on dit que Sikyeongjeong est béni par une vue absolument espoustouflante. L’actuel bâtiment fut restauré au début du 20eme siecle. Vous y trouverez le Buyongdang, un monument avec les vers du poème susmentionné, et Jangseogak, une vieille librairie construite pour préserver les tablettes en bois de Songgangjib, un livre de poèmes écrit par le même Jeong Cheol.
