With an area of 406,613.4 m² and a length of 1,750 meters, Yeongildae Beach is the largest beach on Korea's eastern coast. Along with Songdo Beach, it is known as one of the most popular beaches in Pohang. It is a great place for families and friends during summer vacations. The beach has several lodging facilities and restaurants that offer fresh seafood and hoe (sliced raw fish) nearby.

Naeyeonsan Bogyeongsa Municipal Park is a scenic area that encompasses both the historic Bogyeongsa Temple and the majestic Naeyeonsan Mountain. The mountain, rising to a x_height of 710 meters, is renowned for its stunning natural beauty, characterized by twelve waterfalls cascading through a 14-kilometer-long valley. These waterfalls, coupled with towering rock walls ranging from 50 to 100 meters in x_height, such as Sinseondae Cliff and Haksodae Cliff, along with unique rock formations, create a breathtaking landscape. On the southern side of the mountain lies Bogyeongsa Temple, a significant religious site with origins dating back to the Silla period. The temple complex includes attached hermitages like Seounam Hermitage and Munsuam Hermitage. Notably, the temple houses treasured artifacts, including the stele and stupa of State Preceptor Wonjin.

Beopgwangsa Temple is located at the foot of Bihaksan Mountain in the city of Pohang, Gyeongsangbuk-do Province. It was originally built during the reign of King Jinpyeong (579-631) of the Silla Kingdom by Great Monk Wonhyo upon the order of the king.

The temple used to be large measuring 525 kan (kan is a traditional measurement of distance between two columns, about 1.8 meters), but most of its buildings burned down in a fire in 1863. The current buildings were rebuilt in 1952. The site of the old temple is designated as Historical Site no. 493. Some of the remaining relics are a three-story pagoda, Bulsangyeonhwadaejwa (Buddha on a lotus stand), and a twin Ssanggwibu (turtle-shaped stone base of a monument).

Over the years, Simin Jegwa built a loyal following in Pohang and beyond. Its historic value as the first bakery in Pohang was recognized by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. The signature menu items are the 1949 Danpatppang (bun with red bean filling) and the 1949 Chapsaltteok (sweet rice cake with red bean filling). Other famous baked goods include the jeongguji ppang (chives bun), a soft bun filled with Pohang chives; canelé, a French pastry made with plenty of butter and vanilla beans; and Geomjeong Gomusin (black rubber shoes), a bun made with French gourmet butter and fine red bean paste.
