Chohae Gotaek (Old House) in Uiseong, Gyeongsangbuk-do, is a hanok stay which has stood for 100 years in Sachon Village - a traditional Confucian village. The house was built and lived in by the Pungsan Ryu clan, one of the most important Andong families going back to the 1500s. Built of Korean pine, the house has a classic hanok style, with some really beautiful touches: the elegant lines and the patterns in the windows and floor have all been admired by traditional architecture experts.

The 150-year old Mancho Gotaek (Old House) in Imha-myeon, Andong, Gyeongsangbuk-do, was the home of Mancho Im Dong-han, a Joseon courtier at the court of King Gojong, and is an Andong cultural heritage asset. With a mountain behind and a stream flowing in front of it, this was a perfect spot for a house according to Korean pungsu (feng shui). Andong Soju & Traditional Food Museum was established in 1995 to promote and pass down the history and cultural characteristics of Andong Soju (Gyeongsangbuk-do Intangible Heritage). Andong Soju is a liquor distilled from wheat with 45 percent ABV that originated during Silla period. This regional liquor became widely known outside of Andong when the Korean government strongly supported the development of regional liquors in anticipation of the Asian Games in 1986 and Seoul Olympic Games in 1988.

Imyeonjae Head House on Hyanggyo-dil, Andong, Gyeongsangbuk-do, has been the home of the Heunghae Bae clan ever since Bae Sang-ji settled here around 1400. (The house is also known as Baekjuk Old House, memorialising the name of Bae’s consort.) The wooden walls, stairs and eves of Imyeonjae exude old-time hanok charm, and visitors will find a small reading room which has been a library ever since the house was built. Grasswon Park is located on the banks of the Nakdonggang River as it cuts through downtown Andong. The park, north of Yeonggadaegyo Bridge, features walking trails thorugh a variety of flowers and grasses. The park is attractive all year round, but is especially popular in fall when the muhly grass turns the whole field into a lovely shade of pink. The walking and bicycle paths also connect with Baekjo Park to the south of the bridge, making this the perfect place to enjoy the pure environment of the Nakdonggang River.

													Held in Andong Hahoe Village, a UNESCO World Heritage site, the Andong Maskdance Festival offers a vibrant experience of traditional culture and mask dance performances. This festival will be particularly intriguing to those who are already familiar with the Andong mask dance. The festival showcases mask dance performances, such as Hahoe Byeolsingut Tallori (Mask Dance Drama of Hahoe), which is an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Korea, and mask dances from around the world. The main event is the Tallori Daedongnanjang Parade, in which locals, tourists, and international troupes dance together wearing various masks. Visitors can also see situational plays and play folk games such as Chajeon Nori (Chariot Battle) and Notdari Bapgi (Walking over a Human Bridge).

The Hahoe Mask is a wooden mask traditionally used for Hahoe Byeolsingut Tallori in Hahoe Village. As the oldest mask in Korea, it is designated as a national treasure.
