Gujora Beach is not only known for its natural beauty and crystal clear water, but also as a beach that can be reached conveniently. It was initially used by U.S. soldiers when a prisoner-of-war camp was established in Geoje in the aftermath of the Korean War. After the beach was opened to the public in the 1970s, it became better known for its natural beauty than its military history. The beach is relatively shallow with warm water and stretches 1.1 kilometers long and has a x_width of 30 meters. It has many nearby attractions such as Mangsan Mountain, Sujeongbong Peak, Anseom Island, and Yundolseom Island, creating a beautiful view.
Situated farther inland, partially encircled by the coastline, the water at Gujora Beach is calm and serene. A number of restaurants can be found nearby, mainly selling fresh hoe (sliced raw fish) as well as famous local produce such as anchovies and seaweed. Visitors can enjoy the nearby attractions such as Gujora Fortress as well as Haegeumgang, Naedo, and Oedo Islands by taking a cruise tour.

Mangsando Island, a small isle near Yongwon-dong, is noteworthy for its proximity to the rocky formation known as Yujuam, situated about 70 meters southeast. Approximately 1 kilometer from these locations is Yujubigak, a place rich with the legend of Heo Hwang-ok. She was the queen consort of King Kim Suro, who was born in 42 AD and ruled the ancient kingdom of Garakguk. According to legend, Heo Hwang-ok traveled from India and first set foot on Mangsando Island. The story goes on to tell that the stone vessel she was traveling in capsized at sea, resulting in the formation of Yujuam.

Energy Environment Science Park - Energy Exhibition Hall (에너지환경과학공원 에너지전시관)

The Energy Exhibition Hall in the Energy Environment Science Park is designed in the shape of a sailboat to complement the oceanic scenery surrounding the museum. The exhibition hall consists of a showroom and an observation room that introduce the principles and usage of alternative energy. The exhibition center demonstrates how wind and photovoltaic power plants work, and in what ways clean renewable energy is being used. The center is also used as a solar power plant, and visitors can observe devices and facilities powered by future energy sources.
