Sanoe Hanu Village is situated approximately 30 minutes from downtown Jeongeup. This establishment exclusively deals in hanu (Korean beef), facilitating direct transactions between producers and businesses, which allows for lower prices due to its family-oriented business model. Here, visitors can savor delicious, nutritious, and affordably priced beef. Most shops at the village function as both butcher shops and restaurants, so one can select their preferred cut of meat. Upon ordering, guests will receive a simple table setting, which includes five to six side dishes, priced at around 5,000 won per person, and the chosen meat will be served.

Munsusa Temple, located in Hwangsan-dong, Gimje, is a branch temple of Geumsansa Temple. The temple is located in the heart of nature atop Bonghwangsan Mountain (alt. 100 meters), which is surrounded by the seemingly endless Mangyeong Plains. The temple was built by the great monk Hyedeok Seonsa in the 25th year of King Mu of Baekje after he was visited in his dreams by Munsu Bosal (a Buddhist Saint). The temple was named ‘Munsu’ after ‘Munsugol,’ the original name of the neighborhood in which the temple is located.

In front of the temple stands an ancient zelkova tree whose giant girth measures well over 5 meters. The tree, which is called gwimok (meaning holy, miraculous tree), was recently designated a specially protected tree and is now the focus of preservation efforts. Every January 14th (according to the lunar calendar), local lovernment of Gimje holds a sacred ritual for the tree while the temple holds a ritual to honor the mountain spirit.

Okjeongho Lake Gujeolcho Theme Park was officially formed in 2006 in an area that used to be called Manggyeongdae Terrace. Out of the park’s 12 hectare of land, approximately 5 hectare of land is filled with Gujeolcho (Siberian chrysanthemum) and a pine tree forest. The park also has walking paths and rest areas for visitors to enjoy.

Namchanggol Valley, located at the foot of Ibamsan Mountain with a x_height of about 654 meters, belongs to the southern part of Naejangsan National Park (Namchang District). It consists of six valleys, including Sanseong, Eunseon-dong, and Banseok-dong (Saejaegyegok Valley). Nearby there is the Chonnam National University training center and beautiful surrounding scenery. Despite being well-known, visitors can enjoy their time without being crowded making it a very good summer resort. Hermitages such as the famous Baegyangsa Temple, Yaksaam Rock, and Yeongcheongul Cave, Jangseongho Lake and Bija grove are nearby as well. In particular, Ibamsanseong Fortress located in the upper reaches of the valley is Pogoksiksanseong Fortress built during the Samhan Period and designated as National Historic Site No. 384.

The Namchang Valley Nature Observation Trail, which is about 730 meters long, is equipped with various information boards and experience facilities related to nature learning, making it a good place for ecological learning. The nature observation path has themes to provide visitors with a variety of attractions, and the long stretch of cedar forest is also a must-see. In autumn, the maple leaves from the maple trees fall into the valley water creating a stunning scenery.

Gomso Swimteo is a restaurant located next to the Gomso Salt Farm, which produces sea salt. The signature dish is the jeotgal jeongsik (salted seafood set menu), featuring nine varieties of salted seafood served with soybean paste jjigae. Customers can also enjoy unlimited refills of salted seafood, similar to a buffet style. Gomso's salted seafood is renowned for its excellent taste, as it is made by marinating freshly caught seafood in Gomso sea salt for over a year.
