Nonjinmul (논짓물)

Nonjinmul is a natural beach created as spring water flows into the sea, causing seawater and freshwater to meet. “Nonjinmul” means “just throwing away the water” because the spring water rises up close to the coast and cannot be used for agricultural or drinking water. Currently, a large amount of freshwater flows into the sea, and it has an embankment, pools, and showers, making it a popular swimming spot. In the summer, the Yerae Eco Village Experience Festival is held here, where visitors can enjoy various memorable experiences, such as catching olive flounder with one’s bare hands. Nonjinmul is part of the Jeju Olle Trail Course 8. Yerae Coastal Road, stretching out next to it, is an excellent driving course where one can enjoy the seascape. It is also great to stop by Nonjinmul while enjoying trekking or driving. However, the waves are strong outside the saltwater pool, so caution is needed to avoid accidents.

Cheonjeyeonpokpo Falls is named Cheonjeyeon (The Pond of God) because seven nymphs are said to descend from the cloud bridge in the middle of the night, play on the ground for a while, and then ascend back to the sky. The three-tiered waterfall cascading through the dense forest is a breathtaking sight. The water forms a pond off the first waterfall, which flows into the sea via the second and third waterfalls. Visitors can also admire the Seonimgyo Bridge with seven nymphs carved on the side.

It has a trick art photo zone on the basement level, an indoor dolphin experience site on the first floor, and a children’s aquarium that exhibits 100 species of fish local to the Jeju region on the second floor. Hwasun Golden Sand Beach is surrounded by beautiful nature. It is close to Sanbangsan Mountain and the Yongmeori Coastline, and the islands of Hyeongjedo, Marado, and Gapado are off the coast to the southwest. On one side of the beach is a fresh water spring where people can enjoy a freshwater bath.

The beach is located in Hwasun-ri in Andeok-myeon, which is easily accessible and has accommodations, shops, and restaurants.
