Lancé en 2007, le projet de circuit artistique et culturel de Séoul est un programme d’expérience culturelle organisé par la Fondation de Séoul pour les arts et la culture. Les circuits ont lieu du jeudi au samedi, les deuxième et quatrième samedis du mois d’avril à octobre.

Les participants se réunissent sur la place en face de l’hôtel de ville de Séoul vers 10h30 pour prendre le bus affrété par la Fondation de Séoul pour les arts et la culture. Le programme offre diverses excursions sur des thèmes variés : art, théâtre, littérature, architecture et design. En semaine, de nombreuses femmes au foyer s’inscrivent au programme pour profiter un peu de leur temps libre alors que leurs enfants sont à l’école. Pendant les week-ends, c’est l’occasions parfaite pour les familles, les couples et les touristes internationaux de visiter Séoul. Ce programme gratuit permet ainsi aux participants de visiter quelques endroits de Séoul et de découvrir ce qui fait que ces lieux sont les fleurons de la capitale.

Temple Jogyesa de Séoul (조계사(서울))

Le temple Jogyesa est un temple bouddhiste zen en Corée qui a la particularité d’être situé en plein centre-ville de Séoul. Jogyesa se situe dans une rue perpendiculaire aux rues illuminées de Jongno, et à la rue menant à la station Anguk, non loin de la rue d'Insadong.
La première chose que l'on remarque en entrant dans le temple, ce sont les arbres qui font face au bâtiment principal âgés de plus de 500 ans. Un de ces arbres mesure 26 mètres de haut et procure en été un ombrage apaisant.
Le temple a servi dès 1910 de résidence principale pour le moine Han Yong-un. Le bâtiment principal érigé en 1938 est majestueux, décoré de nombreuses couleurs. A l’intérieur se trouve une statue du bouddha Sakyamuni. A l’extérieur, en face, se trouve une pagode de sept étages contenant des reliques de bouddha.
Le temple Jogyesa ne possède pas cette atmosphère solennelle que l’on peut retrouver dans les temples situés en montagne qui offrent par exemple une vue panoramique sur la montagne ou sur la mer. Mais, situé en ville, il est facile d’accès et convient aux visiteurs à l’emploi du temps serré. A proximité du temple se trouvent des petites boutiques spécialisées dans la vente d'articles bouddhistes (chapelets, écrits, encens, etc) mais également des souvenirs tels que des poupées et des porte-clés. Les personnes intéressées par le bouddhisme y trouveront certainement leur bonheur.

Festival des lanternes de lotus (연등회)

Ce festival très ancien ayant ses origines dans le royaume de Silla, fait figure d'événement phare en Corée. Cet événement est par ailleurs inscrit au patrimoine culturel immatériel de l'Unesco et classé comme patrimoine traditionnel national en Corée.
En illuminant les lanternes, le festival vise à souhaiter également "l'illumination" de l'esprit des voyageurs pour un monde plus serein et empli de bonheur.

In business for more than 40 years, Seongbukdong Dwaejigalbijip has become a local legend thanks to its simple but savory menu. Pork served at the restaurant is marinated overnight in a special sauce, which infuses the meat with rich flavors that are released when the meat is grilled and the fat drips off. The restaurant’s main dishes include dwaeji galbi (grilled pork ribs) and dwaeji bulgogi baekban (set meal with bulgogi meat grilled over the fire).

Mijin (미진)

Mijin is a restaurant specializing in spicy hot baby octopus and cool buckwheat dishes. Opened in 1954, the restaurant's 50-year history is a testament to the great taste of its dishes and the charm of the restaurant.

The main ingredient, buckwheat, is delivered daily from Bongpyeong, the largest buckwheat producing region in Korea. Baby octopus is also delivered every morning from ports in Yeosu. Families and workers of surrounding companies are major customers of the restaurant, but celebrities and politicians also come to the restaurant to taste its food. Memilmuk (Buckwheat Jelly) and pancakes made with buckwheat and green onion are also delicacies of the restaurant.

Vue d’ensemble : Géré par la Fondation Culturelle de Seongnam, le Centre des Arts de Seongnam est un espace artistique et culturel polyvalent accueillant une variété de spectacles et d'expositions. Vue d’en haut, la salle de concert est en forme de piano. Les sièges sont arrangés sur deux étages et tous offrent une vue excellente en raison de l’absence de rideaux. Le Théâtre d’Ensemble, petite salle de théâtre, possède une scène principale rotative permettant d’accueillir une plus grande variété de décors.

L’Opéra House, avec plus de 1800 places, est une salle polyvalente de grande echelle. Elle peut être utilisée pour les grands spectacles d’opéras ou de ballets mais aussi pour les concerts. Elle possède une accoustique et des équipements pour la scène de classe mondiale. En plus d’une salle d’exposition pour des oeuvres d’art, il y a quatre salles de classe où des cours sur les arts, la musique et la danse sont proposés.

Il y a aussi une salle de jeux pour le confort des visiteurs.

Inwoohouse [Korea Quality] / 인우하우스 [한국관광 품질인증]

Run by a couple hailing from Bukchon, Inwoo House is located in an alleyway in Gye-dong, Jongno-gu, which is part of Bukchon that is well-known for old hanok houses. Inwoo House, meaning 'the house of Inwoo,' is inhabited by the owner couple and eight-year-old son Inwoo and his younger brother Yeonwoo. The couple, who have always lived in Bukchon, moved to Inwoo House in 2010; their parents run another guesthouse -- Yeonwoo House -- in Gahoe-dong, which isn’t far from Inwoo House. These two hanok guesthouses seek to provide guests with an opportunity to experience the true aspect of traditional Korean house amid the natural environment. Inwoo House, which has the typical style of hanok in the area, features a cozy yard, a toenmaru (narrow wooden porch running along the outside of the building), and several charming decorative items. It has three rooms – Tokki-bang and Haejanggeum-bang situated in Sarangchae (a detached building) and Nori-bang, which is a communal space. Due to its quiet location, guests can enjoy relaxation with a serene atmosphere in their rooms, which are decorated with calligraphic works and furniture inlaid with mother-of-pearl in a simple way. Each room is equipped with a bathroom. The guesthouse offers breakfast such as toast or tteokguk (rice cake soup). Inwoo House is an ideal place to stay for guests with children as the owner couple have children with whom children can play in the alley, yard, or toenmaru with an interesting hanok environment. The guesthouse also provides various traditional activities including traditional Korean clothes experience, traditional Hanji (Korean paper) craft experience, traditional knot bracelet making, and fan decorating, which are popular among foreign tourists and children. It is adjacent to restaurants, coffee shops, convenience store, and other tourist attractions including Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace, Insa-dong, and Samcheong-dong.

Bukchonmaru hanok guesthouse [Korea Quality] / 북촌마루한옥게스트하우스 [한국관광 품질인증]

Bukchonmaru Hanok Guesthouse is located between “Bukchon Views 2 and 3” on a hill in Bukchon Village in Seoul. This two-storied hanbok building with a terrace, which is rarely found among other hanok structures in the area, offers a splendid view of Seoul. In particular, the summit of a hill next to the main gate of Choong Ang High School where the guesthouse is situated is known as the filming location for the famous Korean TV series Winter Sonata (2002). When you open the main gate and go up to the first floor, a small yard is seen with a group of jars on one side. After entering the sliding door through the yard, there is daecheong maru (main floored room) that features the doors opening in all directions and a high ceiling with rafters, making the space open and cozy. The hanok building consists of two floors – the ground floor is equipped with special furniture, a jar table and a log chair made by the owner, and on the first floor are guestrooms comprised of one large room and two small rooms. The neat and clean rooms are designed in a simple way and have lovely bedding with the pattern of five cardinal colors. Its staff members can speak English and Chinese to communicate with guests from other countries. Every morning, guests engage in animated conversation while enjoying a Korean home-style breakfast prepared by the owner in a friendly atmosphere. After having breakfast, if guests want, they can try on traditional Korean clothes (hanbok) and take photographs inside and around the guesthouse to create interesting memories. The guesthouse also provides a hanbok rental service (KRW 30,000 for a day) and tourists wearing traditional Korean clothes can enter both Changdeokgung Palace and Gyeongbokgung Palace, which can be reached on foot within 10 to 15 minutes, free of charge. Moreover, guests can enjoy an open view of the area including Gahoe-dong, Gye-dong and even the lights of the Namsan Seoul Tower at night from the roof top.
