Ttangttang Chicken Land es un parque temático dedicado al pollo frito que abrió sus puertas originalmente el 1 de septiembre de 2018 en Daegu, la ciudad que tiene al chimaek (pollo frito y cerveza) como uno de sus platos estrella. Se trata del primer parque temático de pollo frito de Corea y los visitantes pueden divertirse viendo, preparando y probando diferentes tipos de pollo. En los alrededores hay diversas atracciones como sitios históricos y parques donde se pueden realizar actividades al aire libre.

Aeropuerto Internacional de Daegu (대구국제공항)

Localizado en el centro de la región de Gyeongsang-do, el Aeropuerto Internacional de Daegu es un conveniente centro de transporte aéreo que provee acceso a la mayor parte del país. Es el único aeropuerto internacional de la provincia de Gyeongsangbuk-do. Las ciudades de Gyeongsan y Yeongcheon están a unos 30 minutos del aeropuerto, que sirve como hub en la región de Yeongnam.

Tras 78 años de operación, el puente ferroviario Ayang fue cerrado, pero se reconvirtió en un espacio cultural bajo el nombre de Ayang Gichatgil. Esta atracción tiene 277 metros de largo, 14,2 metros de altura y cubre una superficie total de 427,75 metros cuadrados. Los visitantes pueden acceder a un observatorio, ver exposiciones, descansar en un café, etc. Este espacio recibió la distinción Red Dot Design Award por su restauración de un antiguo puente ferroviario usando un diseño público. Algunas atracciones cercanas son el Sendero Simni de los Cerezos en Flor, el monumento Gomoryeongbi, el complejo Dongchong Resort y la Aldea Feliz Onggi Jonggi.

The Gwiae Traditional House is a 200-year-old aristocrat’s residence consisting of various hanok structures, a pavilion, a pond, and a shrine set amid its expansive grounds. Located in Yeongcheon Byeolbyeol Misulmaul (Star Art Village) where modern artworks can be seen here and there, the house too is surrounded by various artworks as well as the beautiful natural environment of Yeongcheon, including Bohyeonsan Mountain, Palgongsan Mountain, Unjuhan Recreational Forest, and Saryongsan Mountain. Thanks to the Art Village project, the village has acquired a distinguished charm all its own by combining the antique beauty of traditional houses with modern art and public design. The village is full of attractions as well as traditional structures, including Pungyeongjeong Pavilion, which was built to commemorate the life of Gwon Eung-do, an eminent Confucian scholar of Joseon, and the Cian Art Museum, which established in a closed-down school and has three exhibition rooms, an outdoor sculpture park, and an art shop. Belonging to the descendants of Jo Geuk-seung (1803∼1877), a Confucian scholar of the late Joseon period, the Gwiae Traditional House comprises a sarangchae (detached building), an anchae (women’s quarters), a daemunchae (building next to the gate), and Gwiaejeong Pavilion (Gyeongbuk Provincial Cultural Heritage No. 339), which has double-layered eaves and a half-hipped roof, and measures four kan (a unit of measurement referring to the distance between two columns) at the front and three kan at the sides. There is also a hexagonal pavilion connected with a bridge and a lotus pond. The house also has four installation artworks such as a sculpture of a child and a puppy getting stars, and a turtle sculpture with Lee Geum-hong’s calligraphy. Opened as a hanok stay in 2013, the house has 8 guestrooms and offers a variety of traditional games such as Tuho (Arrow-throwing), Neolttwigi (Korean see-saw game), and Jegichagi (Korean shuttlecock game) in the courtyard.

La Estación de Dongdaegu abrió el 10 de abril de 1969. Con la entrada del tren de alta velocidad (KTX) en 2004, la estación fue reformada. Siendo la mayor estación de Daegu, se sitúa en la segunda posición en número de pasajeros del país, después de la Estación de Seúl, y como la más concurrida, ya que casi todos los trenes de la línea Gyeongbuseon (Seúl-Busan), o los que van en dirección a Gyeongju, hacen parada en esta estación.
