El gran monje Wonhyo (617-686) una vez comentó que 4 días no eran suficientes para apreciar la belleza del monte Daedunsan. La montaña está dividida en tres áreas: Geumsan, Nonsan y Wanju; y cada una tiene características distintas. El área de Geumsan es lugar de la batalla de la Guerra de Imjin (invasión japonesa 1592-1598) y del histórico templo Taegosa. El área de Nonsan es conocida por su bosque escénico, sus valles y sus arroyos, mientras que Wanju se define por sus grandiosas rocas en los picos. Daedunsan es especialmente bonita durante otoño, cuando las rocas de los picos están rodeadas por los colores de las hojas de esta estación.

El Complejo Deportivo Hanbat, abierto en enero de 1964, es la casa del equipo profesional de béisbol Hanwha Eagles. Está situado en Busa-dong, Jung-gu, Daejeon, y formado por un estadio principal, una pista de tenis, una zona para practicar ssireum (lucha libre coreana), una piscina y una pista de patinaje.

El estadio de béisbol tiene capacidad para 10.156 espectadores y una valla de 1,5 metros de altura, lo que lo convierte en el estadio más favorable para los bateadores en Corea. Gracias a las reformas terminadas en abril del año 2000, el estadio ahora mide 5 metros cuadrados más y cuenta con nuevas instalaciones como una cafetería, baños y un parque. Una ventaja añadida es que las tiendas, dentro y fuera del campo, están equipadas con paredes de cristal, ofreciendo a los espectadores una excelente vista del juego.

El Bosque Recreativo del Monte Daedunsan está formado por profundos valles y hermosos picos. El bosque que crece en la parte baja de la montaña está en perfecta armonía con sus alrededores. Se ubicó en los alrededores de la Estación de Daejeon y hoy en día es una de las pastelerías más representativas de Corea. Empezando por su pan artesanal de fermentación lenta (16 horas), en la actualidad vente unas 400 variedades de productos de panadería y pastelería.
