Busan Cultural Center began construction in October 1983 and finished constructing three halls in 1993. In April 2010, the cultural center underwent renovations and reopend in October. The architecture format used traditional Korean houses with a large, medium, and small halls. Large gates and walls were removed to allow easy access. The roof used concrete slabs to recreate traditional patterns and the exterior walls are made of granite stone.

UN Memorial Cemetery in Korea stands as the sole UN cemetery globally, established by the UN Command in 1951 to inter fallen soldiers from the Korean War. This is the fastest way to go downhill from Sanbok road to Busan port. The stairs are known to be as tall as a 6-story building and have exactly 168 steps. The museum houses 45,000 artifacts, displaying just 1,300 through regular exhibition rooms. The museum underwent a remodeling project in 2002 along with the opening of Exhibition Hall 2 to expand to ten permanent exhibition rooms, as well as a planned exhibition space, heritage research room, experience hall, lecture hall, and more. The museum aims to provide more extensive research into uncovering historical artifacts, and provide educational programs to visitors.

The Provisional Capital Memorial Hall was established on June 25, 1984. The memorial hall is significant for its role as the provisional government during the Korean War. The memorial hall was built in 1926 and it was used as the residence for the province governor of Gyeongsangnam-do. When the Korean War began in 1950, the building was repurposed to serve as the provisional government of Korea. Currently, the memorial hall is a great place to learn about Korean history because it contains the historical scenes of the provisional government during the Korean War. It contains exhibitions from the Korean War that display the everyday lives of civilians as well as the political, economic, and cultural aspects of the city of Busan.
