The Fisheries Science Museum, Korea's first science institute of its kind, was established on May 26, 1997 in order to promote maritime science and technology to the public. The museum was opened after six years of effort by the National Fisheries Science Institute in preparing research and materials regarding marine resources, the fishing industry, fishery and fish farm technology and equipment, taxidermied fish specimens, sea life species, and others. There are a total of 15 separate areas with over 7,400 exhibition items, and even an actual right whale skeleton on display, as well as a room where visitors can learn how to operate a marine vessel.

Johyun Gallery started as "Gallery World" in 1990 at Gwangan-ri Art Town in Busan by Jo Hyun. After that, the gallery moved to in front of Haeundae Paradise Hotel in 1999 and then it was rebuilt on Dalmaji-gil Hill near Haeundae Beach in June 2007.
The gallery operates exhibition halls on the first and second floor of the building, as well as an art shop at Busan Museum of Art on the first floor. It also has a branch in Apgujeong-ro, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. This gallery focuses on expanding the world of art by working with international artists.

Busan Cheokpanam Hermitage (척판암 (부산))

Cheokpanam Hermitage was initially built in 673 by a monk named Wonhyo, whose legend is still passed down, and was restored in 1938 by another monk named Gyeongheo. Busan Museum was founded on July 11, 1978 to collect, preserve, display, and research the cultural hertiage of Busan. The museum houses 45,000 artifacts, displaying just 1,300 through regular exhibition rooms.
