Located in Sawol-ri, Namsan-myeon, a place known for its beautiful sandy beach, the guesthouse ‘Beautiful Life’ was built by architect Kim Gyeong-ho, and is composed of 100-year-old-hanok buildings and a courtyard with a large sophora. Designed to provide guests with a “beautiful life”, it provides both accommodation services and diverse cultural programs including exhibitions, performances, and movie screenings. Beautiful Life was conceived as a cultural tourism space set amid quiet countryside where guests can relax by enjoying exhibitions and performances, reading a book, listening to music, or getting lost in thought amid the serene atmosphere of the house. The owner transformed the abandoned house into a beautiful hanok stay after falling under the charm of the quiet location and the old house with its beautiful old tree and well. The guestrooms include Jewoldang, Yeorakdang, Uiyeoldang, and Heosimjeong. The first of these is a 100-year-old hanok structure with a tiled roof, which can be rented in its entirety. Its name, Jewoldang, roughly means “a place to pick up the moon” because the moon is visible above the sephora in the courtyard from the daecheong (wooden floor) on bright moonlit nights. Its ‘ㅡ’-shaped structure and ceiling rafters are original features of the old hanok, while the kitchen and bathroom were entirely renovated, as was the attic on the second floor, lending a special atmosphere to the house. As for the Yeorakdang, which means ‘a house to enjoy together,’ it was converted from a storeroom for apples into a building that can accommodate groups of guests and also screen movies. The Uiyeoldang, meaning ‘a house to discuss and study together,’ was built by transforming the haengrangchae (servants’ quarters) and the stable into a reading space and a seminar room, respectively. Finally, the Heosimjeong, meaning ‘a pavilion where one can empty one’s mind’, is the ideal place for relaxing in small groups. Each of these four buildings is built in a modern style with wooden materials, glass windows, and staircases. There is also an outdoor stage equipped with a sound system for special performances.

Daegu Art Museum is a municipal museum supported by the Daegu Municipal Government. The museum holds exhibitions to promote Daegu's art advancement through the study of the art's historical value. The museum also has planned exhibitions introducing the social and artistic issues of the times and the leading trends in the art scene through domestic and overseas exchanges.

Diverse performances and events such as academic programs and lectures with famous professors are offered to children, teens and citizens of all ages. The Art Information Center on the third floor within the museum library is where visitors can read art-related books or rest at the lounge.

Daegu Stadium is a sports stadium located in Daeheung-dong, Suseong-gu in Daegu. Construction of the stadium began on July 28, 1997 and was completed on May 20, 2001. Its roof is designed to resemble a globe, incorporating the beautiful curves found in the roofs of traditional Korean houses.

The stadium seats approximately 66,000 people and is suitable for hosting large-scale international sports games and 74% of the seats are protected by a Teflon-coated overhang. The 47,407 square meter stadium has three stories below ground and three above ground floors and is built on a 512,479 square meters of land just 9 kilometers southeast of the city’s downtown area.

Stadium facilities include a gymnasium, baseball field, indoor ice rink, horseback riding track, tennis court, fitness center, shooting range, archery range, skateboard park, and an indoor jogging course. There are smaller buildings for taekwondo, judo, and rock climbing.

Daegu Stadium has hosted a number of 2002 FIFA World Cup matches; Senegal vs. Denmark (June 6), Slovenia vs. South Africa (June 8), Korea vs. U.S.A. (June 10) and Korea vs. Republic of Turkiye (June 29).

Asadara is a Korean beef restaurant, set amidst a beautifully landscaped pine tree garden. At the meat corner, customers choose their meat and pay for it separately, plus an extra service charge for the meal. Suseong Artpia, opened in May 2007, is a major art center in Daegu. It has specialized, independent spaces for housing performances, exhibitions, and art camps. The art center’s facade was designed to resemble a crane flying away with its wings stretched out in order to promote the image of Muhaksan Mountain (named as such because its shape is reminiscent of a flying crane or hak), the mountain on which the center is located. When viewed from the sides however, the center is shaped like a ship, as it was once the site of a large pond. With such an impressive exterior further highlighted by impressive lighting at night, water fountains, and landscaping, Suseong Artpia has become a rising attraction of Daegu. The center is equipped with a mega concert hall that can accommodate diverse genres of performing arts such as an opera, musical, ballet, theater, dance, music concert, and more.
