Located on Ojeongsan Mountain, Sinhyeon-ri, Maseong-myeon, Mungyeong-si, Gomosanseong Fortress is a fortress built for military defense during the Three Kingdoms Period. It played an important role in the battle not only during the Three Kingdoms Period, but also throughout history, including the Goryeo period, the late Joseon period, and the Korean War. Climbing uphill along the fortress wall will lead to an open view of a vast landscape. Night lighting and photo zones have been formed around the fortress to entertain visitors to the fortress.

Gaeun Open Set (문경 가은오픈세트장)

Gaeun Open Set is a filming site located within Mungyeong Ecoworld. Through in-depth historical research, it realistically recreates the city in the old days, making it an important location for TV series and history education. There are a total of three filming locations. The first filming location has palaces, including Goguryeo Palace, thatched-roof houses, inns, and a grand gate of actual size. It is known as the filming location for various dramas such as "The King of Legend (2010)," "Ja Myung Go (2009)," "Yeon Gaesomun (2006)," and "Strongest Chil Woo (2008)." It is still popular as a filming location for many other dramas. Also located within Mungyeong Ecoworld is the Coal Museum, so many tourists visit them together. It is possible to travel from the Coal Museum to the first filming location by riding the monorail, which runs every 15 minutes.

A place where people can see traditional jumak (small taverns serving food and liquor), Samgangjumak once sold food to people who travel through Samgang Port, offered rooms for peddlers to stay, and provided poets with a place to rest.

Built around 1900, this tavern is small but the floor plan is so compact that its historical value in Korean architecture is high. It also reflects the local history and culture of the past. Now, it is a tourist attraction where visitors can experience food and the atmosphere of Korea's culture in the past.

Hoeryongpo Village is surrounded by the winding Naeseongcheon Stream, a tributary of the Nakdonggang River. The course of the stream has almost turned the entire village into an island. The best views of the scenic nature can be seen from Jangansa Temple.

Hoeryongpo Village is jar-shaped, surrounded by the river, and has pristine waters and white sandy shores. The shore gives way to trees, and there is a well-developed farm further inland. There used to be almost 20 households in this village, but now only 9 households remain. It takes less than an hour to tour the entire village.

As you drive along the quiet country roads away from Sangju, you'll come across a camping site that beautifully preserves the nostalgic atmosphere of an old school. Woosan Camping, a campground remodeled from an elementary school, was also the filming location for a scene in the drama “Castaway Diva,” where Mok-ha (Park Eun-bin) enjoyed camping with Bo-geol (Chae Jong-hyeop) and his family. The cozy schoolyard is equipped with various convenient amenities, such as a convenience store and shower facilities, and there are plenty of fun activities for children, like a sandbox and swings, making it a perfect spot for a family getaway.

Sangju Museum (상주박물관)

Sangju Museum was established to highlight the history of Sangju, and systematically preserve and manage the city's cultural heritage. Opened in November 2007, the museum features several exhibitions as well as eco pond, stone artifacts and a traditional clock tower outside. Next to the museum, the Traditional Ceremony Center offers visitors a chance to try various traditional activities inside a hanok.

Historical site of General Chung Ki-ryong (Chunguisa Temple) (정기룡장군 유적지(충의사))

Chunguisa Temple is home to the tablets of General Chung Ki-ryong, a great army general who led during the reign of Joseon King Seonjo. In 1974, the temple and related relics were designated as a Regional Cultural Asset Monument. The area was expanded in 1978 to include a museum which displays Relics Related to Jeong Gi-ryong, a designated Treasure. The temple also hosts a reenactment of the recovery of Sangjuseong Fortress every October.
