Hallasan Mountain (한라산)

Hallasan Mountain stands proudly at the center of Jeju Island and is perhaps the island’s most memorable landmark. Also called Yeongjusan Mountain, meaning "mountain high enough to pull the galaxy," Hallasan Mountain is widely known by scientists for its geological value. Designated as a national park in 1970, there are 368 parasitic cones called "oreum" (Jeju dialect meaning peak) around the main mountain.

Hallasan Mountain is famous for its vertical ecosystem of plants that results from the varying temperatures along the mountainside. Over 1,800 kinds of plants and 4,000 species of animals (3,300 species of insects) have been identified; to explore the mountain's treasures, simply follow one of the well-developed hiking trails.

Citrus Museum (감귤박물관)

Citrus Museum is a themed museum dedicated to tangerines, a specialty of Jeju Island. It showcases the history of tangerines, their varieties, cultivation methods, and tangerine cultivation worldwide. Visitors can also purchase tangerine-related products at the Citrus Experience Center and Museum Shop. From November to February of the following year, visitors can experience tangerine harvesting. The café on the second floor offers various beverages made from tangerines.

Jungsangangil Road, part of the Jeju Olle Trail, stretches 14 kilometers, and has a calm ambience. Old stone walls and dense trees line both sides of the road. Pyoseon Beach in Seogwipo is a spacious beach, taking up more than 150,000 m². During low tide, the beach looks like an elegant circle, and it becomes a circular lake less than 1 meter deep during high tide, and displays many different colors. The beach is a great place for children to play and for watching the sunrise. The sand on the beach is formed out of broken shells, and sand baths are believed to be effective for people suffering from neuralgia. Every August, this beautiful beach hosts the Pyoseon White Sand Festival, which offers fun and colorful events. The beach is equipped with excellent amenities (a campground, abundant parking space, dressing rooms and shower rooms) and surrounded by nearby attractions, such as Seongeup Folk Village and Jeju Folk Village Museum.

Opened in 2006, Donsadon specializes in grilled Jeju heukdwaeji (black pork) and has become so popular that visitors often line up to dine. The restaurant's signature dish is heuk dwaeji gui (grilled black pork). Another offering on the menu is kimchi jjigae. As staff members grill the meat at the table, patrons can enjoy their meals in an easy and comfortable setting. An interesting feature of Donsadon is its use of briquette fire instead of charcoal fire, which imbues the meat with a distinctive smoky scent.

Lumiverse: Island of Light is an evening theme park set in a Jeju folk village as a local-hip cultural entertainment attraction. A gigantic multimedia show and characters inspired by Jeju's folklore bring the night alive. The attraction's name is a portmanteau of "Lumi," wich means light in Latin, and "-verse" from the word "univserse," and is a brand that aims to recreate Jeju's mythical world with lights and arts. Visitors are invited to enjoy the evening with Jeju's mythical gods and goddesses, including the legendary guardian goddess Elderly Mago. The attraction is divided into seven illuminated themed zones, each focusing on one of the seven gods and goddesses.
