Depuis Pungho-dong, suivez la route Haengam-ro sur 4 km et traversez la petite passe montagneuse, et vous arriverez au village de Suchi et à la plage éponyme. Niché dans les montagnes en face d’une mer paisible, le village de Suchi ne comptait autrefois qu’une poignée d’habitants. Recemment, la ville a connu une croissance fulgurante, et attire de nombreux visiteurs venus goûter au hoe (sashimi de poisson), spécialité du terroir servie fraîche tout au long de l’année.

Le village et la plage abritent de nombreux restaurants de hoe, hôtels et parkings . Il y a également beaucoup de choses à voir et à faire dans le village voisin de Happo, où l’amiral Yi Sun-shin (1545 – 1598) a remporté des victoires décisives contre la marine japonaise durant la guerre Imjin Waeran (1592 – 1598).

Situé à Jinhae-gu (Changwon), le parc marin Changwon est un endroit idéal pour en savoir plus sur la culture et l’histoire marine. Les principales installations incluent une salle sur l’histoire des batailles navales, une salle d’’exposition sur les navires de guerre et un parc à thème sur la vie marine. La salle sur l’histoire des batailles navales est située dans un immeuble de 2 étages, d’une taille totale de 1 880m². Le rez de chaussée est articulé autour de plusieurs salles d’expériences variées sur les batailles navales de l’est et de l’ouest, utilisant des équipements ultramodernes. Le 2ème étage est dédié à l’importance des forces navales et à ‘Jinhae’, avec pour thèmes : « Les forces marines et navales » et « Jinhae, une base marine très avancée ». La salle d’exposition sur les navires de guerre met en valeur un contre-torpilleur de 119m de long, 35m de hauteur et pesant 2500 tonnes. Ce dernier fut utilisé par les forces américaines durant la guerre de Corée. On y trouve par ailleurs un vaisseau de guerre de très grande vitesse pesant 110 tonnes, montrant au public la vie quotidienne des équipiers de la marine. Les salles principales du navire, comme la salle des machines, la cabine du capitaine et la salle de « statégie » sont également présentées, et les visiteurs peuvent même manipuler certaines armes de guerre. Le parc à thème sur la vie marine est situé à l’intérieur d’un immeuble en forme de gastéropode et dont les 1er, 2ème et 3ème étages représentent respectivement la mer, la terre et le ciel. Il existe en plus une salle d’expériences pratiques, une salle vidéo et une salle d’exposition spéciale sur les ecosystèmes marins.
