Le musée municipal de Ohjukheon a été crée grâce à la fusion de Ohjukheon et du musée municipal. Ohjukheon est une importante bâtisse qui a pour thème d’exposition le royaume de Joseon (1392-1910). Dans ce musée privé se trouvent nombre d’objets traditionnels et de vestiges régionaux. Vous y verrez aussi le portrait de Yulgok II dans la salle Munseongsa (portrait ancestral de Yulgok II).
Dans le hall de commmémoration vous pourrez admirer les oeuvres artisanales de la célèbre famille Yulgok. Dans le hall traditionnel folklorique, celui de la culture et de l’histoire, et dans la zone d’exposition extérieure sont disposés divers objets bouddhiques, des céramiques, des photos et des ustensiles. Près du musée municipal de Ohjukheon se trouvent la plage de Gyungpo et la demeure d’une grande famille du royaume de Joseon nommée Sangseol. A Gyungpo, vous pouvez vous détendre au bord de la mer et de la forêt de pins. Nous vous proposons aussi de passer par le musée de Chamsori où, des inventions d’Edison jusqu’à aujourd’hui, 1600 phonographes sont exposés.

Le Pavillon de Ojukheon a été nommé ainsi à cause des arbres noirs de bambous qui grandissent dans les environs. C’est à cet endroti que Sinsaimdang (1504~1551) a vécu et où son fils Yulgok (érudit et politicien de la période Joseon) est né. La maison a été construite pendant le règne du 11ème roi de Joseon, le roi Jungjong (1506~1544), c’est un des plus anciens bâtiments résidentiels en bois en Corée. Elle fut désignée trésor culturel Nº 165 en 1963 et a été entretenue par ses descendants de générations en générations.
A l’intérieur de l’ensemble du Pavillon de Ojukheon, on trouve le Hall Mémorial de Yulgok, Mongnyongsil, chambre où Yulgok est né, la relique nommée Munseongsa, et les grandes portes appelées Jagyeongmun, Sajumun etc. Il y a aussi un Eojegak, qui fut construit afin de conserver la pierre à encre de Chine et le Gyeongmongnyogyeol (un livre écrit par Lee Lee, en 1577 pour ceux qui commençaient leurs études) ainsi que les mémoires de Lee Lee.
A côté du Pavillon de Ojukheon, on trouve le Musée Municipal de Gangneung où vous pouvez admirer des vestiges de l’ âge de la préhistoire et d’autres matériaux historiques provenant de différentes périodes en Corée.

Terarosa Coffee is a pour-over specialty coffee house and roastery located in Gangneung, Gangwon. It is founded and operated by Korea's first generation coffee expert Kim Yong-deok. This coffee house espcially popular for its "coffee tasting course" that allows one to taste three different types of coffee recommended by the barista. Gangneung Ojuk Hanok Village, Gangneung’s representative cultural space, exhibits the excellence and simple beauty of the Korean traditional house known as the ‘hanok’. Based on Ojukheon, the birthplace of Yi I (one of the two most eminent Korean Confucian scholars of the Joseon Dynasty), it was built to spread the ideas of Yi I and promote the excellent features of the Korean hanok to the world through a variety of traditional cultural experience programs. The village is situated next to Ojukheon House, where Yi I and his mother Shin Saimdang were born. It is also near Gyeongpo Lake, one of the most famous tourist attractions in Gangneung, and is only 1.8km away from Gangneung Olympic Park, which served as the ice sports venue of the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympic Games. Gangneung Ojuk Hanok Village has a total of 51 guestrooms, including a separate house, a detached house, a duplex-type with an upper floor (numaru), and other types of rooms. In particular, “Aeilje” is the only house with a bed and amenities designed for the physically disabled, including an entrance ramp and a spacious toilet and bathroom for wheelchair users. “Samuljae” (a lecture hall with a capacity of 40 persons) is also available to guests for up to two hours free of charge. Moreover, “Geoga” house, which is a hanok-type passive house, is an energy-saving structure equipped with a solar-paneled roof.
