Oseam (오세암) est un petit temple bouddhiste bâti en 644 sous le règne de la reine Seondeok durant la dynastie Silla. C’est l’annexe d’un temple plus important, le temple de Baekdamsa (백담사). Oseam est à l’origine de la célèbre légende qui a inspiré le film Oseam et le dessin animé du même nom. De nombreux moines bouddhistes viennent y méditer, et on dit que des poètes renommés tels que Siseup Kim et Yongun Han y auraient également séjourné. Il se situe dans le cadre du pic de Gwaneumbong, et il est entouré de nombreux sites pittoresques qui font la beauté du Mont Seorak.

On dit même l'eau de source gazéifiée de la roche de base ici a 5 saveurs. La pagode de 3 étages (National Treasure No.497) qui se trouve dans Seongguksa Temple est appelé Osaek Stone pagode, car la roche est dit à briller dans 5 Mythe de la fleur colors. Le Mythe de la fleur Osaek dit que le nom du village «Osaek 'a été donné parce qu'il y avait un arbre qui a fleuri fleurs de 5 couleurs différentes.
