Le Musée Leeum abrite des oeuvres traditionnelles et contemporaines d'artistes coréens et internationaux. Le musée lui même est tout aussi fascinant que les oeuvres qu'il abrite puisque ses trois bâtiments ont été conçus par trois architectes de renom, Mario Botta, Jean Nouvel et Rem Koolhaas.

Le Musée 1 abrite les oeuvres traditionnelles coréennes telles que calligraphies, céramiques, peintures, etc. tandis que le Musée 2 abrite des oeuvres modernes et contemporaines d'artistes coréens et étrangers.

C’est l’un des lieux que les “premières dames du G20” à Séoul ont visité en Novembre 2010. Cette attraction incarne toute la beauté et le charme de la Corée.

Des visites guidées en anglais se tiennent le samedi et dimanche. Si vous souhaitez bénéficier d'une visite guidée en semaine il vous faudra appeler au moins 2-3 jours en avance pour effectuer une réservation. Musée d'art Amore Pacific (아모레퍼시픽미술관)

Le musée d'art Amore Pacific, situé dans l'arrondissement de Yongsan-gu à Séoul, était jadis un musée qui exposait des œuvres artistiques collectionnées par Seo Seong-hwan, le défunt fondateur de l'entreprise Amore Pacific. Il a été rebaptisé « Musée d'art Amore Pacific » (Amore Pacific Museum of Art, APMA) en 2009.

Cet établissement a été créé pour devenir un « espace ouvert pour découvrir la beauté dans la vie quotidienne » et communiquer avec le public. Afin d'atteindre cet objectif, le musée collectionne, recherche et expose l'art ancien coréen, l'art contemporain national et international tout en soutenant les chercheurs, les sociétés académiques et les jeunes artistes dans ce domaine.

Dans la salle d'exposition au 1er en sous-sol, on trouve une variété d'expositions spéciales sur l'art ancien et contemporain coréen. Le site est notamment réputé pour l'espace « Atrium », un grand espace réparti entre le 1er et le 3e étage. Vous pouvez aussi profiter de la boutique du musée, d'un espace d'exposition appelé « APMA Cabinet » ou encore d'une bibliothèque réservée aux catalogues des expositions mondiales (apLAP). Le musée se trouve au premier étage du nouveau bâtiment du siège d'Amore Pacific, construit à l'image de la porcelaine blanche coréenne. Aujourd'hui, il constitue un monument architectural emblématique de l'arrondissement de Yongsan-gu.

Heolleung / Illeung (dit Heonilleung) [Patrimoine Mondial de l'UNESCO] (서울 헌릉과 인릉)

Le mont Daemosan derrière le Tombeau Royal Heonilleung était appelé à l’origine « Halmisan » (signifiant grand-mère en coréen) car sa forme fait penser à une dame agée. Le mont étreint et protège le tombeau royal.
Le Tombeau Royal Heonilleung abrite les monticules de deux rois de la Dynastie Joseon : le Roi Taejong (1401-1418) et le Roi Sunjo (1800-1834). Il détient de nombreuses statues en pierre ainsi que des vestiges et est un bon endroit pour découvrir la Dynastie Joseon. Dès que l’on pénetre sur le terrain, la saisissante porte rouge au symbole du yin et du yang semble dessiner la ligne entre notre monde et celui de l’au-delà. Passer cette porte mène au bâtiment sacrificiel où des services à la mémoire des ancètres étaient accomplis. Derrière ce bâtiment se trouve le tombeau royal et sur son avant-toit des sculptures d’animaux, les « japsang », censées exorciser les esprits maléfiques sont disposées. Il y a un pavillion juste à coté du bâtiment sacrificiel où est localisée la pierre tombale. Le tombeau royal est entouré par des statues en forme d’animaux comme le tigre ou le mouton et il y aussi une statue d’un militaire solennel portant une épée avec un cheval derrière lui. Ces sculptures en pierre sont les gardiens des défunts rois.
