La Estación de Busan, considerada en el pasado como la entrada principal a Corea del Sur, abrió el 1º de abril del año 1908 y siguió expandiéndose hasta incluir el tren de alta velocidad KTX en 2004. Con la apertura del segundo ferrocarril, el expreso de Gyeongbu, fueron extendidas la sala de espera y la playa de estacionamiento. Esta estación es la mayor parada de todos los trenes expresos de Gyeongbu y de los trenes comunes.
