Desde su apertura, el 10 de octubre de 1973, el Salón Municipal de Busan se ha mantenido como el símbolo del puerto internacional de la ciudad, ofreciendo un espacio cultural abierto a los ciudadanos. En 2001, el salón fue remodelado y ampliado, abriendo de nuevo el 5 de julio de 2002.

La Calle de Cultura y Turismo es una calle de 450 m que empieza en la sucursal del banco KB en Jungang-dong y continúa por los 40 escalones de la escalera que pasa por el Centro Cultural, y sigue hasta Palseong.
