Faro de Jumunjin (주문진 등대)

Establecido el 20 de marzo de 1918, el Faro de Jumunjin fue el primero en la región de Gangwon-do. Tiene 3 metros de diámetro en la base y 10 metros de altura, con un mortero blanco que cubre la pared exterior. El edificio muestra la estructura inicial de la arquitectura de faros del país, que tiene un gran valor en términos de la historia arquitectónica. La señal luminosa parpadea a intervalos de 15 segundos y se puede verla desde una distancia de 37 km. El faro fue destruido durante la Guerra de Corea, pero fue reconstruido en 1951.

La playa Jumunjin se extiende hacia la zona más septentrional de Gangneung, y se trata del mejor lugar para pasar las vacaciones en familia debido a la baja profundidad de sus aguas. Cerca de allí se encuentra el valle Mureung, llamado así por su similitud con el jardín Mureungdowon, un paisaje de China, en donde podrá observar una cascada cayendo sobre una pared rocosa y vacas paseando. También, a poca distancia, se levanta una roca llamada Sikdangam, de la que se cree que antaño había sido usado como mesa para la cena, y el templo Geumgangsa que fue reconstruido en 1964. Las cascadas Guryong, compuestas de 9 diferentes caídas de variadas dimensiones, y el Manmulsang de Sogeumgang, que pareciera ser la versión minimalizada del monte Geumgangsan, son también sitios que no deseará perderse. Asimismo, se encuentra una legendaria roca denominada roca Adeulbawi (Roca del hijo varón), del que se creía que tenía poderes para ayudar a la mujer a tener hijos varones, y numerosas rocas y piedras de colores, que son lugares de gran interés para los turistas que visitan el balneario.
