Cheoksan Spatel ((주)척산온천휴양촌)

Opened in 1985, Cheoksan Spatel is a natural hot springs with strong alkaline water at 53℃, formed 4000 m below sea level. The water is said to be highly effective in the removal of impurities and treatment of skin conditions. Rooms available include both bedrooms and ondol (under-the-floor heating system) rooms. Each room has a small bath supplied with hot springs water in the bathroom. Guests are also offered a single-use ticket to the hot springs area. There are plenty of onsite facilities as well, from the hot springs area with many different types of baths to ladies-only spa therapy at Spa Healing Center, walking paths through a pine grove, and an observation deck with a view of Seoraksan Mountain’s Ulsan Peak. Other attractions, such as Sokcho Museum, Seoraksan Botanical Garden, and Cheongchoho Recreation Area, is reachable by car in 10 min.
Lago Yeongnang (영랑호)

El lago Yeongnang es, en realidad, una laguna formada naturalmente con una superficie de 1.21 km² y una circunferencia de 7.8 km. El nombre Yeongnang se originó en el período de Silla (57 a.C-935 d.C), cuando un joven llamado Hwarang y su amigo Yongnang volvían del monte Geumsangsan y encontraron este lago. Asombrados por la belleza de este lago, le puesieron el nombre de Yeongnang. En las cercanías hay un centro recreativo con un campo de golf y alquiler de canoas. En los senderos para peatones muchos disfrutan del jogging en las mañanas. No olvide visitar la roca Beombawi (beom significa "tigre" y bawi significa "roca"), que tiene la forma de este animal. La Roca Beombawi tiene una forma que parece un tigre agazapado (beom significa "tigre" y bawi significa "roca"), exhibiendo una magnífica postura. Desde la Roca Beombawi, se puede contemplar el refrescante paisaje del Lago Yeongnang. Se volvió famosa tras aparecer en la película Decision to Leave, como el ficticio pico Gireumbong del monte Gusosan.
